O R D E R
- (1) This order may be cited as the Kekerangu Rabbit District Order 1961.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- The boundaries of the Kekerangu Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 13th day of March 1946,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE KEKERANGU RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, Amuri and Kaikoura Counties, bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Manakau on the summit of the Seaward Kaikoura Range in Block XIII, Kaitarau Survey District, and proceeding generally south-westerly along the summit of the said range to a point in Block XXII, Acheron Survey District, bearing 205° true distant 3½ miles from Trig. A (Cloudy Range) in Block XX, Acheron Survey District; thence due south for a distance of 1 mile; thence south-westerly along a right line to the intersection of the Mason River and the southern boundary of Run 208 in Block XXII aforesaid; thence generally westerly, northerly, and north-easterly along the southern, western, and north-western boundaries of the said Run 208 to the right bank of the Clarence River in Block XXI, Acheron Survey District; thence north-westerly across the Clarence River to its left bank; thence north-easterly generally along the left bank of the Clarence River to its junction with the Red Hills Stream in Block XI, Tone Survey District; thence northerly along the said stream and the western boundary of Run 121 to the summit of the Inland Kiakoura Range; thence generally north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Run 121, Section 1, Block VI, and Section I, Block VII, Tapuaenuku Survey District, to Trig. Station F in the said Block VII; thence generally easterly along the northern boundaries of the said Section 1, Block VII, and Section 1, Block VIII, of the said district to Trig. Station B in the said Block VIII; thence generally north-easterly and easterly along the north-western boundaries of the said Section 1, Block VIII, and Section 1, Block VI, Whernside Survey District, and the northern boundaries of the said Section 1, Block VI, Sections 1 and 9, Block VII, Whernside Survey District, Section 90, Mead Hill Run, Clarence Registration District, and Section 10, Block III, Whernside Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 10; thence generally south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 10 and its production across a public road to a stream and along that stream to the Nidd Stream, forming the northern boundary of Section 5, Block III aforesaid; thence generally north-easterly along the said Nidd Stream to its intersection with a right line bearing 33° true from Trig. WH (Mount Whernside); thence south-westerly along that right line to the said Mount Whernside in Block VIII, Whernside Survey District; thence westerly along a right line to the eastern corner of part Section 8, Lower Clarence Registration District, in Block VIII aforesaid; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 8 to the northern corner of part Section 14, Sawtooth Run, Clarence Registration District, in the said Block VIII; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said part Section 14 to its southernmost corner; thence generally easterly along a right line to the north-western corner of part Section 3, Block VIII aforesaid; thence generally south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the said part Section 3 to Trig. P (Ragged Robin) in the said Block VIII; thence generally southerly along the watershed between Boundary Stream and the Kekerengu River to its intersection with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 1340, in Block XIV, Whernside Survey District; thence westerly generally along the said southern boundary of Lot 1 to the south-western corner of the said Lot 1; thence generally southerly along the boundary between the land shown on D.P. 705 and Lot 2, D.P. 1340, for a distance of 1200·1 links to Peg LXIII, D.P. 705, in Block XIII, Whernside Survey District; thence along the bearing of 221° true for a distance of 116 chains and along a bearing of 203° true for a distance of 100 chains to the intersection of the middle lines of the Clarence River and Boundary Stream in Block XVIII, Whernside Survey District; thence due west to the right bank of the Clarence River; thence generally north-westerly and south-westerly along the right bank of the said river to its junction with the right bank of the Jam Stream in Block I, Puhi Puhi Survey District; thence southerly along the said right bank of the said Jam Stream and the south-western boundaries of Sections 3, Block IV and 3, Block VIII, Puhi Puhi Survey District, to Trig. R (George Spur) on the summit of the Seaward Kaikoura Range; thence generally south-westerly along the summit of the said range to the point of commencement.
