Cancellation of the Vesting in the Port Chalmers Borough Council and Change of the Purpose of a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Port Chalmers and changes the purposes of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for a site for a morgue to a reserve for cemetery purposes.

Scheme of Control of Lynfield College

PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the scheme of control for the school formerly known as Blockhouse Bay Post-primary School and now known as Lynfield College published in the Gazette on 15 August 1957, Volume II, page 1516; and approves of Lynfield College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961:*

Provided that clause 18 of the said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the following proviso were added thereto:

“Provided that every member in office at the commencement of this scheme shall hold office until the 31st day of May in the year 1962, whether or not that year is the third year after the year of his appointment or election.”

PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the scheme of control of Rotorua High School published in the Gazette on 6 August 1959, Volume II, page 1081; and approves of all schools for the time being under the control of the Rotorua High School Board being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961.*

Scheme of Control of Heretaunga College

PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the scheme of control of Upper Hutt High School published in the Gazette on 20 August 1953, Volume II, page 1358; and approves of that school, now known as Heretaunga College, being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961:*

Notice Relating to the Use of Insecticides (Notice No. Ag. 7412)

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Stock (Insecticides and Oestrogens) Regulations 1961, the Minister of Agriculture hereby gives notice that the insecticides referred to in the Schedule hereto are prohibited from use for the destruction or control of arthropod parasites or other insects on cattle, sheep, or swine, or in any abattoir, meat-export slaughterhouse, rural slaughterhouse, cannery, or meat-packing house.

Registration of School Colours and Badge

PURSUANT to the Education Act 1914 and regulations thereunder, notice is hereby given of the registration of the following colours, badge, and monogram for Solway College, Masterton:

Colours—Silver and dark green.

School Badge—An emblem in silver forming the monogram “SC”.

Dress or Ornamental Badge—A shield edged in silver on which the monogram “SC” is emblazoned in silver on a field of dark green. A scroll in silver surrounding the lower portion of the shield and bearing the words “Timor Dei Principium Sapientiae”.
