Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work to be Crown Land, Subject as to Parts to Certain Rights

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948 as from the 30th day of October 1961, subject as to Lot 13, D.P. 45570, to the building-line restriction contained in K. 64198, Auckland Land Registry, and to the drainage easement created by memorandum of transfer No. 607234 and as to Lot 14, D.P. 41542, to the mining easement created by memorandum of transfer No. 500776, Auckland Land Registry, and to the building-line restriction contained in K. 47389, Auckland Land Registry, and to the fencing agreement contained in memorandum of transfer No. 657919, Auckland Land Registry, and as to Lot 82, D.P. 40961, to the building-line restriction contained in K. 41282, Auckland Land Registry.

Revoking a Notice Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby revokes as from the 30th day of October 1961 the notice dated 8 August 1960 and published in the Gazette, 8 September 1960, Volume III, page 1347, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin as No. 227929, declaring land acquired for a Government work and not required for that purpose to be Crown land.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for State housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Te Kuiti and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing and send the writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, the approval granted to the Whakatane County Council to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by five sections as described in the Gazette, No. 51, 18 July 1957, page 1330, has been varied, and approval has now been granted to the Whakatane County Council to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by three sections as follows:

(1) Whakatane-Ohope Section, described in the Gazette, No. 51, 18 July 1957, page 1330.

(2) Edgecumbe Section, described in the Gazette, No. 51, 18 July 1957, page 1330.

(3) The remainder of the County of Whakatane.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Dunedin City Council (Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Refusals and Prohibitions)

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made by the Dunedin City Council in the interests of the Dunedin City district scheme, which refusal or prohibition but for this notice would expire between the date of public notification hereof and the 1st day of November 1962 inclusive, is hereby extended to the said 1st day of November 1962.

Declaration That the Monkey Face Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve and Change of the Purpose of the Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the Monkey Face Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve subject to part II of the said Act, and further, pursuant to the said Act, changes the purpose of the said reserve from a reserve for recreation purposes to a reserve for scenic purposes.
