WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL
SECURITY RATE
Fendalton Riding Works Loan 1961, £8,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of reconstructing and sealing roads and constructing
kerbing and channelling, the said Waimairi County Council
hereby makes a special rate of 0·030744d. (pence) in the (£)
pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the
special rating area, comprising the whole of the Fendalton
Riding of the Waimairi County; and that the special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period
of seven years, or until the loan is fully paid off." 1507
AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD
SPECIAL ORDER
Loan No. 29 1961, £25,000
The Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, in exercise of
the powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon
it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise
of all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf,
doth hereby resolve by special resolution intended to operate
as a special order to borrow the sum of £25,000 (twenty-five
thousand pounds) as a special loan to be known as Loan No. 29 1961, £25,000, for the purpose of meeting costs and expenses incidental to the design and construction of a temporary sewage treatment plant at Papakura.
The foregoing special order was made by way of a special
resolution passed at a special meeting of the Board held on
the 2nd day of August 1961.
It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star and the New
Zealand Herald on the 12th and 26th days of August 1961 and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Board held on the
6th day of September 1961.
The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage
Board was hereto affixed this 6th day of September 1961 in

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Hutt Valley Drainage Act 1949 and its
amendments and in the matter of the Public Works Act
1928 and its amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hutt Valley Drainage Board,
a board duly constituted under the Hutt Valley Drainage Act
1949, proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts, to execute a public work, namely, the erection of a
pumping station; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken;
and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so
required to be taken, marked M.S. 9/7/3, is deposited in the offices of the Board, situate in the Lower Hutt City Council's Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection by all persons, without fee, during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections
in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice, to the Secretary of the Board at
the above address.

PATANGATA COUNTY COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER
Rural Housing Loan
THAT, whereas the Patangata County Council desires to raise
a loan, pursuant to the provisions of the Rural Housing Act
1939, as amended and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
from the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand for the
purpose of advancing money to farmers within the county for
the purpose of erecting dwellings; and whereas the Local
Authorities Loans Board, at a meeting held on 16 May 1961,
sanctioned the borrowing by Council of the sum of £25,000
(twenty-five thousand pounds) for the above-mentioned purposes, such loan to be known as Rural Housing Loan 1961.
That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said loan,
or so much thereof as is for the time being raised and not repaid, shall be four per centum per annum.
That the security for the said loan shall be a special rate of
0·0916d. in the pound on the rateable unimproved valuation
of all rateable property within the County of Patangata.
That such special order to be submitted for confirmation at
an ordinary meeting of Council on Wednesday, 20 September 1961, at 10.30 a.m.
A poll of ratepayers will be taken if 5 per cent of the ratepayers of the County of Patangata so demand by writing under
their hands delivered or sent by post to the County Clerk
before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution
hereinbefore mentioned.
