to the Main North Railway Line being a point on the
boundary of the Christchurch Tramway District as described

THE MINING ACT 1926
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that Her Majesty the Queen
has applied to the Warden of the Otago Mining District for the
following extension to course and alteration of head of Water
Race Licence 221 (Clyde) commencing at a point in Waipuna
Creek, 20 chains from the northern boundary of Section 121,
Block I, Leaning Rock, occupied by James Archibald Craig,
running thence in a south-westerly direction through said
Section 121 through Section 122, occupied by Sydney George
Attfield, through Section 91, occupied by James Archibald
Craig, and Section $221G$, occupied by Sydney George Attfield;
thence in a southerly direction through Sections 33 and 149,
occupied by Ewen Anderson, a distance of 50 chains, and
terminating in the Ministry of Works dam, Waikerikeri Valley,
to take in all springs situated within 1 chain of the above
course.
The application and all objections thereto will be heard on
Wednesday, 15 November 1961, at 10 a.m., at the Warden's
Court, Cromwell.
Objections must be filed in the Registrar's Office and notified to applicant at least three days before the time so
appointed.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to private Bills and in the matter of a
private Bill intituled "An Act to vary the trusts of the will
of the late Charles Rooking Carter, and to facilitate
establishment of a home for aged persons in Carterton."
NOTICE is hereby given that Ronald Philip Wakelin, printer,
Evan Beethoven Algar, Clerk in Holy Orders, Halsey Fenton
Robinson, stock buyer, Stanley Lyle Tatton, garage proprietor,
and William Wong, fruiterer, all of Carterton, intend to apply
for leave to bring into the House of Representatives at the
present session a private Bill intituled as above.
The objects of the said Bill are to amend and extend the
terms of the trust established under the will of the late Charles
Rooking Carter and amended by section 43 of the Reserves and
Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act 1916,
so as to enable the present Carter Home to be sold and the
proceeds applied towards the building of a new Carter Home
in the Borough of Carterton, and to enable the income from
the present Carter Trust to be applied for the upkeep and maintenance of the new home.
The promoters of the Bill are the said Ronald Philip Wakelin,
Evan Beethoven Algar, Halsey Fenton Robinson, Stanley Lyle
Tatton, and William Wong, whose address is care of Messrs
Major, Gooding, and Wollerman, Solicitors, Broadway, Carter-
ton, to which address all communications and notices may be
sent and at which address a copy of the Bill may be inspected.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the
day preceding publication.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for
the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertions.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing)
subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and
1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
