In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter
of Brunswick Stores Ltd. (in liquidation)

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 291 of the
Companies Act 1955, that a general meeting of the share-
holders of the above-named company with the creditors of
the company will be held in the offices of Messrs J. L. Arcus
and Co., Public Accountants, 1 High Street, Lower Hutt, on
Wednesday the 18th day of October 1961, at 10.30 a.m., for
the purpose of having an account laid before it showing how
the winding up has been conducted and the property of the
company has been disposed of, and to receive any explanation
thereof by the liquidator.

Every member entitled to attend and vote at the meeting is
entitled to appoint a proxy to attend and vote instead of him.
A proxy need not also be a member.

NOTICE is hereby given that, by an entry in its minute book
signed in accordance with section 362 (1) of the Companies
Act 1955, the above-named company, on the 2nd day of
October 1961, passed a resolution for voluntary winding up,
and that a meeting of the creditors of the above-named
company will accordingly be held at the Committee Room,
Dominion Farmers Institute, Featherston Street, Wellington,
on Thursday the 12th day of October 1961 at 3 p.m.

Business:
(1) Consideration of a statement of the company’s affairs
and list of creditors.
(2) Nomination of liquidator.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of A. E. Grigg and
Son Ltd. will be held on Wednesday, the 18th day of October
1961, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be
proposed; and that a meeting of the creditors of the company
will be held, pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act
1955, at the A. and P. Board Room, Public Trust Building,
Stratford, on Wednesday, the 18th day of October 1961, at
2 p.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of
the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors
and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before
the meeting and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance
of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be
the liquidator of the company, and, in pursuance of section
286 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter
of the New Plymouth Gas Co. Ltd.

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary general meet-
ing of the above-named company held on the 27th day of
September 1961, the following extraordinary resolution was
passed by the company, namely:

“That the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, con-
tinue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, and that
accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily.”

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of
the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the
29th day of September 1961, presented to the said Court by
William Cable Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its
registered office at Hutt Road, Kaiwharawhara; and that the
said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at
Wellington on the 18th day of October 1961 at 10 a.m.; and
any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to
support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition
may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel
for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished
by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said
company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge
for the same.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

It is hereby notified that the partnership formerly carried on
under the name of Horan Bros. by Messrs F. T. Horan and
J. J. Horan, sen., was dissolved as at the date of death of John
Joseph Horan, sen., viz, 9 July 1961. Any creditors with claims
outstanding must render them forthwith.

The business is being carried on under the name of Horan
Bros. by Messrs F. T. Horan and J. J. Horan, jun.—F. T.
HORAN.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

THE partnership hitherto existing between J. J. Tullett and
I. T. Eynon carrying on business at Waitara as motor-vehicle
dealers under the name of Waitara Motors has been dissolved
by mutual consent from the 20th day of September 1961. The
business will continue to be carried on at the same address
by I. T. Eynon.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
——
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and sinking
fund on a loan of nine hundred pounds (£900) authorised to
be raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for
which the Waiau Pa Hall Loan 1959 of £9,000 was sanctioned,
the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of decimal one one three pence (‘113d.) in the
pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved
value) of all rateable property appearing on the valuation roll
for the Waiau Pa Hall Special Rating Area of the County of
Franklin; and that the special rate shall be an annually recur-
ring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Franklin County Council held on the 25th day of September
1961.
