Scheme of Control of Opotiki College
PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the scheme of control of Opotiki College published in the Gazette on 8 December 1955, Volume III, page 1884; and approves of Opotiki College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961:*
Provided that clause 18 of the said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the following proviso were added thereto:
“Provided that every member in office at the commencement of this scheme shall hold office until the 31st day of May in the year 1962, whether or not that year is the third year after the year of his appointment or election.”

Scheme of Control of Hastings High Schools
PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the scheme of control of Hastings High School published in the Gazette on 16 May 1929, Volume II, page 1419; and approves of all schools for the time being under the control of the Hastings High Schools Board being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961.*

PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the scheme of control of Kapiti College published in the Gazette on 26 May 1960, Volume II, page 705; and approves of Kapiti College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961:*

Additional Members of the Redwood Rabbit Board
(Notice No. Ag. 7386)
PURSUANT to section 25 of the Rabbits Act 1955, the Minister of Agriculture hereby publishes the following resolution passed by the Redwood Rabbit Board on the 27th day of June 1961.
RESOLUTION
THAT, pursuant to section 25 of the Rabbits Act 1955, the Board increase the number of its elective members to seven.

Classification of Roads in Egmont County
PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes the Warrants, dated the 1st day of June 1950† and the 28th day of January 1959‡, which relate to the roads described in the Schedule hereto and hereby approves the Egmont County Council’s proposed classification of the said roads as set out to the said Schedule.

Roads Classified in Class Two
Main Roads
Those portions of the Okahu-Wairemu Road which for the time being are sealed.
Opunake Riding
All roads within Opunake Riding.
North Riding
Those portions of the following roads which for the time being are sealed: Bayley, Cape, Julian, Opourapa, Paora, Parihaka (upper and lower), Pungarehu, Puniho, Ruakere, Stent, Tipoka, Warea.
Central Riding
Those portions of the following roads which for the time being are sealed: Arawhata (middle), Ihaia, Kahui (upper and lower), Kina (upper and lower), Manihi, Namu, Ngariki (lower), Opua, Rahotu.
South Riding
Those portions of the following roads which for the time being are sealed: Auroa, Eltham, Kaweora (lower), Kiri, Nopera, Oeo (upper and lower), Opunake-Stratford, Patiki, Puketapu, Skeet, Waiteika (upper and lower), Watino.
Roads Classified in Class Three
All other metalled roads and metalled portions of roads under the control of the Egmont County Council.

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the above draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.
All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies on loan from the New Zealand Standards Institute, 201 Lambton Quay, or P.O. Box 195, Wellington C.1.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 20 October 1961.
