Amending a Licence Authorising the Taupo Borough Council to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect and Use Electric Lines

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 4th day of September 1961

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 3rd day of March 1952 and published in the Gazette on the 13th day of the same month, at page 303, authorising the Taupo Borough Council to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use electric lines, as amended by the Order in Council dated the 5th day of October 1955 and published in the Gazette on the 6th day of the same month, at page 1596, by adding the following paragraph to the Schedule thereto:

"Lines for the supply of electrical energy by the systems of supply hereinbefore described within all that area in the South Auckland Land District, County of Taupo, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the middle line of the Waikato River with the southern boundary of Block V, Takapau Survey District, and proceeding generally south-westerly up the middle of that river to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Block XII, Tatua Survey District; thence northerly along that eastern boundary and easterly along the southern boundary of Block V, Takapau Survey District, to the point of commencement. As the said area is more particularly shown coloured yellow on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 575 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington."

Authorising Walter Gordon Buchanan, of Te Awanui, Opotiki, Farmer, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 4th day of September 1961

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Walter Gordon Buchanan, of Te Awanui, Opotiki, farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
2. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
3. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and shall be an alternating-current system.

DURATION OF LICENCE
4. Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1982 or until electrical energy is available from an electric power board or other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE
LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee's generator and proceeding in a north-westerly direction to a dwelling, and thence in a northerly direction to a second dwelling; all being situated in Section 3B 3B, Block I, Haparapara Survey District, in the county of Opotiki; the said lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 574 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Authorising Charles Francis Bowron, of Avon Valley, Marlborough, Farmer, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Charles Francis Bowron, of Avon Valley, Marlborough, farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

(2) Generally in a northerly direction across the Avon Valley Road to a cottage.
(3) In a westerly direction to a stable, whare, and woolshed.
All being situated in Blocks IV and VIII, Spray Survey District, and Blocks V and X, Hodder Survey District, in the County of Marlborough, the said lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 570 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

ALL that piece of land containing 1 acre 3 roods 26.2 perches situated in Blocks VI and VII, Kairanga Survey District, Wellington R.D., being Lots 5 and 6, D.P. 22860, being part Section 531, Town of Palmerston North. Part certificate of title, Volume 718, folio 71, Wellington Land Registry.
