BOROUGH OF MOSGIEL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mosgiel Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public Work, namely, provisions for street widening on the northern side of Factory Road in the Borough of Mosgiel between Gordon Road and a point opposite the vicinity of Morrison Street; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situated at 99 Gordon Road, Mosgiel, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the office of the Mosgiel Borough Council at the Council Chambers, 99 Gordon Road, Mosgiel.

CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Clifton County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Clifton County Council under the above-mentioned Act for rural housing purposes, the said Clifton County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three five six nine pence (.03569d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in and comprising the whole of the County of Clifton; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I certify that the above written is a true and correct copy of a resolution carried by the Clifton County Council in meeting on 18 August 1961 and entered at page 324 in the minute book of the Council.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City Johnsonville Sewerage Loan 1961 of £81,000

The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 16th day of August 1961:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eighty-one thousand pounds (£81,000) to be known as the Wellington City Johnsonville Sewerage Loan 1961 of £81,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewer reticulation in Johnsonville, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of thirty-three one-thousandths of a penny (.033d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL

LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimea County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,200 authorised to be raised by the Waimea County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity a portion of the Suburban North Water Supply Loan 1956, £26,000, the said Waimea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of one penny (¹⁄₆d.) in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Suburban North Water Supply Special Rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Waimea County Council held on the 11th day of August 1961.
