Secondly, all the waters of the Oreti River between the following boundaries:
(a) Eastward of a line drawn in a south-west direction across the river from a position on the north-eastern river bank 15 chains north-westward of the junction of the westernmost boundary of Oreti Road, Otatara, and the river;
(b) Westward of a line drawn in a north-south direction running from the northern boundary to the southern boundary of the river from a position on the northern river bank 121 chains eastward of the junction of the westernmost boundary of Oreti Road, Otatara, and the river.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. Each end of each boundary outlined in the area firstly described in the First Schedule shall be marked with a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted white with black letters, and shall contain the following notice:

“NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1958
No speed restrictions for motor launches and water skiers for 1,220 yards south of the Dunns Road river bridge.”

  1. Each end of each boundary outlined in the area secondly described in the First Schedule shall be marked with a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted white with black letters, and shall contain the following notice:

“NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1958
No speed restriction for motor launches and water skiers for 15 chains north-westward and 121 chains eastward of the junction of the westernmost boundary of Oreti Road and the river.”

Notice Redefining Opotiki Abattoir District (Notice No. Ag. 7356)


PURSUANT to section 15 of the Meat Act 1939, the Minister of Agriculture hereby gives notice that the Opotiki Abattoir District shall be as specified in the Schedule hereto.

OPOTIKI ABATTOIR DISTRICT

ALL that area for the time being comprised in the Borough of Opotiki and in the County of Opotiki.

Social Security Amendment Act 1939—Maternity Notice


PURSUANT to section 13 (5) of the Social Security Amendment Act 1939, the Minister of Health hereby gives notice that advice has been received from Charles Bruce Noble, M.B., CH.B. 1942 (U.GLAS.), F.R.C.S.(ENG.) 1951, of 267 Victoria Avenue, Wanganui, that he is unwilling to afford medical services in relation to maternity on the terms provided for in section 13 of the Social Security Amendment Act 1939, and that consequently he is entitled to recover any fees in respect of his professional services as if that Act had not been passed.

Fixing the Rates of Levy to be Charged on Wool for Season Commencing the 1st day of October 1961 (Notice No. Ag. 7362)


PURSUANT to section 12 of the Wool Industry Act 1944, the New Zealand Wool Board hereby fixes the following rates of the levy to be charged on all wool which is produced in New Zealand and which, during the season commencing on the 1st day of October 1961, is exported from New Zealand or is delivered to a wool manufacturer for use in New Zealand:

(c) For each sack ...... ...... 0 10

Tariff Notice—Application for Amendment to a Determination by the Minister of Customs


NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for a variation of a determination, by the Minister of Customs, under item 180 (6) (a) of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand, by excluding:

“Crimplene” being a fabric composed of bulked crimped polyester fibre,

from the following determination:

Knitted piece goods (not being printed or embroidered) composed wholly or principally of silk or man-made fibres.

The application will not be dealt with until 14 September 1961, and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 14 September 1961.

Any such objection should be supported by information as to:

(a) The range of goods manufactured;
(b) The proportions of New Zealand and imported materials used in the manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory costs in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.

The application will not be dealt with until 14 September 1961, and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 14 September 1961.

PURSUANT to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Otago and Southland Dental Assistants and Technicians Industrial Union of Workers, Registered No. 1807, situated at Waldronville, will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled on the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.
