HUTT VALLEY TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA

All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station R (Mount Hector) in Block I, Eritonga Survey District, and proceeding southerly generally along the summit of the Tararua and Rimutaka Ranges to the north-eastern boundary of Orongorongo IA situated in Block IX, Pencarrow Survey District; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the mean high-water mark of Palliser Bay; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along the mean high-water mark to Pencarrow Head; thence due west to the middle of the entrance to Port Nicholson; thence northerly up the middle of Port Nicholson, so as to include Ward Island and Somes Island, to a point on the western shore of Port Nicholson in line with the south-western boundary of Section 10, Harbour District, being a point on the boundary of the Petone Committee area hereinbefore described; thence easterly and northerly along that boundary to Trig. Station, Horokiwi; thence north-easterly along right lines to Trig. Stations, Woodman, Moonshine, Kakanui, and the easternmost corner of Ngarara West C 18, Section 1, and along the western boundary of Section 8, Block III, Akatarawa Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the said Section 8; thence easterly along the northern boundary of the said Section 8 and its production to and along the northern boundary of Section 10, Block III aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section, and along a right line to the point of commencement.

PORIRUA TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the mouth of the Waikanae River; thence easterly generally along the middle of that river, to and along the eastern side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the north-western corner of Subdivision 23 of Ngarara West C Block; thence along the northern boundary of Subdivision 23 aforesaid and its production to the middle of the Waikanae-Reikorangi road; thence along the middle of that road, to and along the middle of Ngatiawa Road, to and along the middle of a branch road through Section 43, Block X, Kaitawa Survey District, to the middle of the Ngatiawa River; thence along the middle of that river to the northern boundary of Ngarara West C 18, Section 22; thence along the northern boundaries of Ngarara West C 18, Sections 2 and 1, to the eastern corner of the last-mentioned section, being a point on the north-western boundary of the Hutt Valley Tribal Committee area hereinbefore described; thence south-westerly along that boundary to Trig. Station M in Block XII, Belmont Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line passing through Trig. Station 105 to the sea coast; thence north-easterly along the sea coast to a point in the middle of the mouth of the Waikanae River, being the point of commencement, and including Kapiti Island and Mana Island.

PONEKE TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in Block I, Port Nicholson Survey District, being the westernmost corner of the Porirua Tribal Committee area hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that area, to and along the south-western boundaries of the Hutt Valley and Petone Tribal Committee areas hereinbefore described to the middle of the entrance of Port Nicholson; thence north-westerly along a right line to Palmer Head; thence westerly, northerly, and north-easterly generally along the sea coast to the westernmost corner of the Porirua Tribal Committee area hereinbefore described, being the point of commencement.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

Revoking a Limited Speed Zone and Closely Populated Locality Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 11th day of November 1959,* which relates to Te Atatū in Waitemata County is hereby revoked.
  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.†

Situated in Waitemata County at Te Atatū:
All that area at Te Atatū bounded by a line commencing at at a point where the southern side of the No. 16 State Highway (Auckland-Wellsford) meets the eastern bank of Henderson
