ONEHUNGA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets and Footpaths Loan 1955, Supplementary Loan 1961 IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Onehunga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £25,000 authorised to be raised by the Onehunga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for streets and footpaths improvements, the said Onehunga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of one penny (¼d.) in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Onehunga; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a special meeting of the Onehunga Borough Council held on the 24th day of July 1961.

TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Aerodrome Loan 1960, £30,000 PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Tauranga Borough Council held on 24 July 1961, the following resolution was passed:

That pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“'That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Aerodrome Loan 1960, £30,000, authorised to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for purchasing additional land for and otherwise developing Tauranga Aerodrome, the said Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one one four four pence (1.144d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Tauranga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MURUPARA TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THE following resolution was passed by Council at its meeting held in Murupara on the 14th day of February 1961:

“'That, pursuant to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the security for such loan of £4,000 shall be an annually recurring special rate of decimal nought nine five of a penny (095d.) in the pound on the rateable capital value of all the rateable property in the Town District.”

TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan 1961, £106,000 PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“'That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £106,000 authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the sewerage reticulation in the borough, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of threepence (3d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Taumarunui; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council on Monday, 24 July 1961.

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL

CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES

PURSUANT to section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 as amended by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves by special order, instead of levying special rates to meet the annual charges payable in respect of the loans specified in the Schedule hereto, to make a rate of 6·666d. (sixpence and six hundred and sixty-six one-thousandths of a penny) in the pound on the rateable unimproved value on a uniform basis for the whole of the City of Gisborne, herein referred to as a consolidated special rate, on all rateable property within the city, being the amount calculated to yield 10 per cent more than the annual charges payable in respect of the loans secured by those special rates, and such rate be levied in whole or in part year by year without further proceeding by the Gisborne City Council:

WAIHEKE ROAD BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waiheke Road Board proposes to execute a certain public work, namely the widening of the and reformation of a public road; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Board, situated in Belgium Street, Ostend, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must set out their objections in writing and send same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk at his office aforesaid.
