UNDER THE MINING ACT 1926

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE

TAKE notice that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the
Borough of Queenstown have made application for a licence
for a water race, commencing in the scenic reserve in Section
4, Block 1, Mid Wakatipu Survey District, in the bed of the
One Mile Creek at a point 2 chains 45 ft above the control
gates on the concrete dam in the said creek and thence run-
ing south-east along the bed of the One Mile Creek to peg B
which is 2 chain 54 ft from peg A and thence 13½ chains
south-east along the One Mile Creek to peg C and thence by
means of a 5 in. pipe from peg C to peg D south-east 17
chains to a point 1 chain within the Queentown Borough boun-
dary which point is 1 chain from the old settling tank, for
domestic supply for the borough.
The Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of
Queenstown, by its solicitor, B. P. SHEEHAN.
Time and place appointed for the hearing of the application
and all objections thereto: Wednesday, the 20th day of Sep-
tember 1961, at 10 a.m., at the Warden’s Court, Cromwell.
Objections must be filed in the Registrar’s office and notified
to applicant at least three days before the time so appointed.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the
day preceding publication.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for
the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertions.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing)
subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and
