RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a railway overbridge and approaches at Weymouth Road, the said Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal three nine seven pence (.397d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Manurewa, comprising the whole of the Borough of Manurewa; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Rural Housing Loan 1960, £10,000

THAT the security for the charge in respect of such loan shall be a special rate of decimal point 025 pence (.025d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Patea.

Certified as a correct copy of resolution passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 8th day of March 1960.

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a sewage treatment works; and for the purpose of such public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Board at 28 Quay Street, Auckland, and is open for inspection by all persons, without fee, during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary of the said Board at the Board’s office at 28 Quay Street, Auckland C.1.

ALL that parcel of land in the Borough of Papakura containing approximately 1 acre 1 rood 20 perches, being part of the land on D.P. 9374 and being that part of Allotment 69 of Suburban Section 1 of the Parish of Opaheke shown edged red on the plan, and contained in certificate of title, Volume 1035, folio 119.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Te Kuiti Borough Council proposes, under the above-mentioned Act, to take the land in the Schedule hereto for municipal purposes including, inter alia, those of effecting drainage improvements thereto and providing a public parking area thereon. All persons affected by the taking of the said land who have any objections thereto must state their objections in writing and lodge the same at the office of the Town Clerk within 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

ALL that piece of land situated in the Land Registration District of South Auckland containing 1 rood 16·2 perches, more or less, situated in Taupiri Street in the Borough of Te Kuiti, being Allotment 17, Block VI, Te Kuiti Maori Township, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 1033, folio 129, South Auckland Registry, saving and excepting all minerals, within the meaning of the Land Act 1924, on or under the land and reserving always to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully entitled to work the said minerals a right of ingress, egress, and regress over the said land.
