Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Greymouth Borough Council to lay off the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width of less than 66 ft, but not less than 40 ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan referred to in the said Schedule as M.O.W. 2872 within a distance of 15 ft from the side line of the said street.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that proposed street situated in the Borough of Greymouth containing by admeasurement 1 rood 38Β·2 perches, and being Lot 32, L.T.P. 1399, being part Reserve 1429 and part Rural Section 2261; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2872 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Directing the Sale of Land in the Borough of Blenheim

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, that land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

Declaring Certain Matters to be Appropriate to Reorganisation Scheme to be Issued by Local Government Commission

Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
In any reorganisation scheme approved by the Local Government Commission providing for the constitution of a new borough, comprising the present Boroughs of Glen Eden, Henderson, and New Lynn and any area or areas of the County of Waitemata adjoining any of those boroughs, the Local Government Commission may make such provisions as are necessary with respect to:
(a) The first election of mayor and councillors of the new borough; and
(b) The discharge of the functions of the borough council pending the first election of councillors.

The Edgecumbe Post-primary School Board of Governors Order 1961

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
1.(1) This order may be cited as the Edgecumbe Post-primary School Board of Governors Order 1961.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 15th day of June 1961.
- The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Edgecumbe Post-primary School, prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the South Auckland Education Board;
(b) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school;
(c) One member appointed by the Governor-General;
(d) Three members elected by the members of the School Committees of the Awakeri Public School, the Edgecumbe Public School, the Matata Maori School, the Otakiri Public School, the Te Teko Maori School, and the Thornton Public School;
(e) One member to be co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit:
Provided that, until the school is opened and the election of members by the parents of the pupils attending the school is held, the school shall be controlled by a Board consisting of the other members.
- The Minister of Education may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which paragraph (d) of clause 2 of this order applies.

Appointment of Member of the Rules Committee Under the Judicature Amendment Act 1930
Pursuant to section 2 of the Judicature Amendment Act 1930, the Right Honourable the Chief Justice has appointed
The Honourable Mr Justice Macarthur
to be a member of the Rules Committee, to hold office until the 31st day of December 1963, in lieu of the Honourable Mr Justice Shorland, deceased.
