approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers,
resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand

Captain and Quartermaster G. T. Stagg is re-engaged for
a further period of one year as from 26 May 1961.

2nd Field Regiment, RNZA
Lieutenant Philip Donald Marchant is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal Regiment of N.Z.
Artillery, in the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 1 April 1961.

3rd Field Regiment, RNZA
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) R. G. Ritchie to be Captain.
Dated 25 September 1960.
The notice published in the Gazette, 2 February 1961,
No. 9, page 181, relating to Lieutenant (temp. Captain) R. G.
Ritchie is hereby cancelled and the following substituted:
"Captain R. G. Ritchie is transferred to the Reserve of
Officers, Regimental List, 3rd Field Regiment, RNZA, in
his present rank and seniority. Dated 28 November 1960."

Captain (temp. Major) D. A. Mannering relinquishes the
temporary rank of Major and is transferred to the Reserve of
Officers, Regimental List, 4th Medium Regiment, RNZA, in
the rank of Captain with seniority from 6 June 1954. Dated
