A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, that road being no longer required.

ALL those pieces of road situated in Block V, Punakitere Survey District, Auckland R.D., described as follows:

Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY
RURAL Sections 1456, 1457, 1579, and 2012, part Rural Section 3107 and Reserves 137, 192, 243, 283, and 2061. Situated in Block XV, Waimea Survey District: Area, 74 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less. As shown on the plan No. 125/89 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plans 1565, 3491, 3492, 3508, 3569, 5065.)

Revoking a Wildlife Refuge and Declaring Land, North Auckland Land District, to be a Wildlife Sanctuary

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in the Gazette of 13 March 1958, No. 17, page 329, notifying and declaring an area of land to be a wildlife refuge and hereby proclaim and declare the area of land described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife sanctuary for the purpose of the said Wildlife Act and the following conditions shall apply to the sanctuary:
- The right of entry to the sanctuary is hereby restricted to the following classes of persons:
(a) Members of the Aotea Tribe, Great Barrier Island, for the purpose of exercising their rights under any permits issued for the taking of the young of the grey-faced petrel (Pterodroma macroptera) issued under section 6 of the Wildlife Act 1953;
(b) Rangers under the Wildlife Act 1953 while in the lawful execution of their duty;
(c) Any other person authorised in writing by the Secretary for Internal Affairs. - The hunting or killing, taking for any purpose, molesting, capturing, disturbing, harrying or worrying of any living creature in the sanctuary, the taking, destruction, or disturbance of the eggs or spawn of any such creature, the taking for any purpose or interference with vegetation of any description in the sanctuary, the introduction or liberation in the sanctuary of any living creature or the eggs or spawn of any living creature, or the introduction or planting in the sanctuary of any vegetation of any description or the spores or seeds of any vegetation of any description is hereby prohibited except pursuant to an authority issued by the Secretary for Internal Affairs for that purpose: Provided that members of the Aotea Tribe, Great Barrier Island, shall be permitted to take the young of the grey-faced petrel (Pterodroma macroptera) subject to such conditions as the Minister of Internal Affairs may impose in any notification issued under section 6 of the Wildlife Act 1953.
- The burning or clearing by any means whatsoever of any trees, shrubs, grasses, or other plant life on the sanctuary is hereby prohibited except pursuant to an authority issued by the Secretary for Internal Affairs for that purpose.
- Camping in the sanctuary is hereby prohibited except pursuant to an authority issued by the Secretary for Internal Affairs for that purpose: Provided that members of the Aotea Tribe, Great Barrier Island, may camp in the sanctuary while exercising their rights under any permits for the taking of the young of the grey-faced petrel (Pterodroma macroptera) issued under section 6 (2) (a) of the Wildlife Act 1953.
- The lighting of fires or the doing of anything likely to cause a fire on the sanctuary is hereby prohibited except pursuant to an authority issued by the Secretary for Internal Affairs for that purpose: Provided that members of the Aotea Tribe, Great Barrier Island, may light camp fires in the sanctuary only for the purpose of exercising their rights under any permits for the taking of the young of the grey-faced petrel (Pterodroma macroptera) issued under section 6 of the Wildlife Act 1953.
- The taking of firearms or explosives on or onto the sanctuary or the use of firearms or explosives in the sanctuary is hereby prohibited except pursuant to an authority issued by the Secretary for Internal Affairs for that purpose.
- The taking or keeping of domestic animals or domestic birds into or in the sanctuary is hereby prohibited except pursuant to an authority issued by the Secretary for Internal Affairs for that purpose.
- The depositing of rubbish or the leaving of litter in the sanctuary is hereby prohibited.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area being the Mokohinau group of islands with the exception of Burgess Island, containing an area of approximately 153 acres 2 roods, situated approximately 14 miles north-west of the northern extremity of Great Barrier Island.
As shown on the two plans marked I.A. 52/334 and I.A. 52/334A and deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 31st day of May 1961

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the 12th day of December 1960, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion of road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
THE Auckland City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the portion of the southern side of Alba Road, fronting all the land on D.P. 8935, being part Allotment 29, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland, and comprised in certificate of title, Volume 225, folio 42, and more particularly shown coloured red on plan A 2756/2.
SECOND SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
THE southern side of all that portion of Alba Road in the City of Auckland, fronting all the land on D.P. 8935, being part of Allotment 29, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2703 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
