RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of forty-nine thousand five hundred pounds (£49,500) which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of erecting a memorial hall, creche, and women’s rest-room in Freyberg Place, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-fifteenths of one penny (2/15d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 1st day of May 1961.

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and ten thousand (£110,000), to be known as the Day Street Parking Building Loan 1960, £110,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of erecting a car-parking building in Day Street, Newton, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one fourth of a penny (¼d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-seven thousand pounds (£37,000), to be known as the Tram Track Removal Loan 1960, £37,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of reimbursing General Account for expenditure on tram-track removal and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of one penny (1/10d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) on all rateable property in the City of Auckland, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAITEMATA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Administration Building Loan (1959) £200,000
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectively, and all other powers it enabling, the Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of interest and yearly instalments of principal and other charges on a loan of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned enactments in order to provide moneys for the purpose of erecting administration buildings in Taharoto Road, Takapuna, the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 36/1000 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all the rateable property within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District, as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the Gazette dated 18 October 1923, and amended by Proclamations appearing in the Gazettes dated 27 November 1924, 26 August 1926, 7 March 1929, 24 January 1935, and 14 April 1954; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was carried at a meeting of the Waitemata Electric Power Board held on the 22nd day of May 1961.
