WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Wellington City Electricity Loan 1961 of £414,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of four hundred and fourteen thousand pounds (£414,000), to be known as the Wellington City Electricity Loan 1961 of £414,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the city electrical system and erecting buildings, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and eighty-eight one-thousandths of a penny (0·188d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 10th day of May 1961.

WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimate County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimate County Council under the above-mentioned Act for rural housing, the said Waimate County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·036d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable values of all rateable property over the whole of the County of Waimate; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.” 662
ST. KILDA BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF SPECIAL ORDER
Elderly Persons Housing Loan 1960, £22,000
NOTICE is hereby given that the St. Kilda Borough Council at a special meeting convened for the purpose, and held on Friday, the 14th day of October 1960, passed a resolution, to operate as a special order, to raise a special loan of £22,000 for the purpose of erecting flats for pensioners in the Central Battery site, St. Kilda. The resolution also makes provision for the appropriation and pledging of a special annual-recurring rate of 0·2583d. in the pound (£) as security for interest on the said loan and for the repayment thereof. The term of the loan will be 30 years and will be repaid by half-yearly instalments of principle and interest. The loan will be raised by the issue of debentures with interest at the rate of 3½ per cent.
The said resolution was submitted to a special meeting of the St. Kilda Borough Council held on the 14th day of November 1960 for confirmation as a special order.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance. Single copies available as issued.
The price of each Gazette varies and is printed thereon.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
