NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CEASE TO HAVE A PLACE OF BUSINESS IN NEW ZEALAND

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of International Computers and Tabulators Ltd.

INTERNATIONAL Computers and Tabulators Ltd., a company incorporated in England and having its registered office at 17 Park Lane, London W.1, and having a place of business in New Zealand, hereby gives notice of its intention to cease, as from the 4th day of August 1961, to have a place of business in New Zealand.

All business hitherto carried on in New Zealand by the above company will in future be carried on by International Computers and Tabulators (New Zealand) Ltd.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the portions of land described in the Schedule hereto for road. A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken is open for public inspection at the office of the Raglan County Council, Great South Road, Ngaruwawahia, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office of the Council on or before the 29th day of June 1961.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road; for which purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken by the Waipa County Council under the Public Works Act 1928.

A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid lies open to public inspection at the office of the Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such land and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.

WHANGAREI HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £235,500 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act, and in terms of the Whangarei Harbour Board Empowering Act 1960, for harbour improvement works at Whangarei, the said Whangarei Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of forty-two one-hundredths of one penny ($^{2}/_{100}$d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Whangarei Harbour District, comprising the Borough of Whangarei, the Town Districts of Kamo and Hikurangi, and the County of Whangarei, excepting out of such county that portion thereof comprised in the Waipu River District as defined in Proclamation published in the Gazette on the 1st day of March 1900; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Whangarei Harbour Board held on the 28th day of November 1960.

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roads Reconstruction Loan 1961, £150,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £150,000 authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing and resealing various roads in the Borough, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal four three nine five pence (.4395d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 9th day of May 1961.

BOROUGH OF ROTORUA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Rotorua Borough Council Sewerage Investigation Loan 1961, £14,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fourteen thousand pounds (£14,000), to be known as the Rotorua Borough Council Sewerage Investigation Loan 1961 of £14,000, authorised to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of investigating sewerage reticulation, treatment, and disposal for the whole of the borough, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought eight five pence (.085d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Rotorua Borough Council held on Monday, the 8th day of May 1961.
