Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of a Transmission
Line in Blocks VIII and VII Titirangi Survey District - viz,
the Otahuhu-Henderson 220kV Transmission Line (Lake
Taupo and Waikato River Power Scheme)

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and section 43 of the
Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Charles John, Viscount
Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the middle line of part of the
Otahuhu-Henderson 220 kV transmission line (Lake Taupo
and Waikato River Power Scheme) proposed to be constructed
under the authority of an Order in Council dated the 13th
day of March 1940, made pursuant to section 311 of the Public
Works Act 1928 and published in the Gazette on the 14th day
of the same month at page 383, in Blocks VIII and VII Titirangi
Survey District, shall be the line defined and described in the
Schedule hereto; and I hereby define as being land upon and
in respect of which it is intended to exercise the powers conferred
by the Public Works Act 1928 and by any other Act in respect
of the erection, maintenance, and use of the said part of the
said transmission line, all the land situated within 50 links on
either side of the middle line hereby defined.

A LINE commencing at a point in Lot 4, Section 5, Deeds Plan
S 26, approximately 70 links west of the easternmost corner
thereof and proceeding thence in westerly and northerly
directions generally for a distance of approximately 4 miles

All in the North Auckland Land District; as the same is
delineated on the plan marked EAK 822, sheets 1 and 2, deposited
in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 9th day of May
1961.

Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles
John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the
Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT-AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
ALLOTMENT 361, Waiuku West Parish, situated in Blocks VI,
VII, and VIII, Maioro Survey District: Area, 2,798 acres, more
or less. As shown on plan No. 24/3 deposited in the Head Office
of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereron
bordered red. (S.O. Plan 42447.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 9th day of May
1961.

The Tairei High School Board of Governors Order 1961

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 10th day of
May 1961

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended
by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the
following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Tairei High School Board
    of Governors Order 1961.

  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of Tairei
    High School, prescribed by the Tairei High School Board of
    Governors Order 1959,* is hereby varied so that, notwithstanding
    anything to the contrary in section 90 of the Education
    Act 1914, the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors
    constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Otago Education Board:
(b) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school:
(c) One member appointed by the Governor-General:
(d) One member appointed jointly by the Mosgiel Borough
Council and the Taieri County Council:
(e) One member appointed by the Council of the University of Otago:
(f) One member appointed by the Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Otago Provincial District) Incorporated, who shall be a member of the Taieri Branch of that organisation:
(g) One member elected by the members of the School Committees of the Green Street Public School, the North Taieri Public School, the Outram Public School, the Henley Public School, the Momona Public School, the Allanton Public School, the Mosgiel West Public School, the East Taieri Public School, the Wyllie's Crossing Public School, the Berwick Public School, the Waipori Public School, the Walton Public School, and the Reid Park Public School.

  1. The Minister of Education may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which paragraph (g) of clause 2 of this order applies.

  2. The Tairei High School Board of Governors Order 1959* is hereby revoked.
