(c) Clause 11 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if
the words “Such election shall be held in the first
week of the month of May in the year 1929 and
every alternate year thereafter” were omitted, and the
words “An election shall be held in the first week of
the month of May in the year 1961, and such an
election shall be held in the first week of the month
of May in the year 1964 and in every third year
thereafter” were substituted therefor:

(d) Clause 16 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if
the words “an Education Board or Borough Coun-
cil” were omitted, and the words “the South Auck-
land Education Board or the Thames Borough Coun-
cil” were substituted therefor:

(e) Clause 19 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if—
(i) Every reference to the year 1929 were a refer-
ence to the year 1964; and
(ii) The words “second year” were omitted, and
the words “third year” substituted therefor:

(f) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if clause 43 were
revoked, and the clause set out in the Schedule hereto
were substituted therefor:

(g) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if every reference
to a biennial appointment were a reference to a
triennial appointment.

SCHEDULE

CLAUSE TO BE SUBSTITUTED FOR CLAUSE 43 OF THE
STANDARD SCHEME

43. From time to time as may be necessary, the Board shall
    appoint a Secretary, and shall appoint him or some other per-
    son with authority to receive money on the Board’s account.
    The Board shall forthwith inform the Minister of every such
    appointment. Where the Principal is appointed Secretary of
    the Board he shall not receive any additional remuneration in
    respect of that appointment.

Exempting Certain Agricultural Chemicals from Registration
Under the Agricultural Chemicals Act 1959 (Notice No. Ag.
7257)

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Agricultural Chemicals Act 1959,
the Minister of Agriculture, acting on the recommendation of
the Agricultural Chemicals Board, hereby declares that the
following agricultural chemicals, or a mixture of any of them,
shall, if free from any additive and of a standard of purity
being not less than that which is known as commercial grade,
be exempt from the provisions of section 12 of the said Act:

Ammonium sulphamate (NH₄OSO₂NH₂).
Borax (Na₂B₄O₇) hydrates, and sodium pentaborate
(Na₂B₁₀O₁₆. 10 H₂O).
Caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) (NaOH).
Chlorinated lime (bleaching powder).
Cobalt sulphate (CoSO₄) and hydrates.
Colas Mix and other tar and petroleum derivative wound
dressings.
Copper carbonate (2CuCO₃. Cu(OH)₂).
Copper sulphate (CuSO₄) and hydrates.
Cyanides (salts of hydrocyanic acid, viz, potassium, am-
monium, and sodium salts).
Ferrous sulphate (FeSO₄) and hydrates.
Formalin.
Hydrated lime (Calcium hydroxide) (Ca(OH)₂).
Kerosene.
Magnesium sulphate (MgSO₄) and hydrates.
Manganese sulphate (MnSO₄) and hydrates.
Metaldehyde (C₂H₄O)ₙ.
Molybdenum, chemical compounds of.
Naphthalene (tar camphor) (C₁₀H₈).
Paris green (copper aceto-arsenite) ((CuOAs₂O₃)₃.
Cu(C₂H₃O₂)₂).
Sodium carbonate (Na₂CO₃) and hydrates.
Sodium chlorate (NaClO₃).
Sodium chloride (salt) (NaCl).
Sulphur (other than formulated).
Sulphuric acid (H₂SO₄).
Thiocyanates (salts of thiocyanic acid, viz, copper, sulphur,
and iron salts).
Zinc sulphates (ZnSO₄) and hydrates.

the number of elective members of the Board be increased
from five to seven members.”

revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the said
reserve.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying That
the Land Shall Vest in the Wairoa Borough Council in Fee
Simple, and How the Value Thereof Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for
recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule
hereto and further declares that the said land shall vest in the
Wairoa Borough Council in fee simple, provided that the sum
of £450 is paid by the Council into its reserves account, such
moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement
of other recreation reserves under the control of the Council,
or in or towards the purchase of other land for recreation
purposes.
