District, comprising the constituent districts of Oamaru
Borough, Hampden Borough, Waitaki County, and part
Waimate County; and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The Waitaki Electric Power Board at its meeting on 24th
April 1961 passed the above resolution.

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kaikoura
County Council resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of thirty-eight thousand pounds (£38,000) authorised to
be raised by the Kaikoura County Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewerage for a
portion of the County Town of Kaikoura, the Kaikoura
County Council hereby makes a special rate of nine decimal
nought nine nine pence (9·099d.) in the pound (£) upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
the rateable property in the Sewerage Loan Special-rating
Area; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAUMARUNUI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN THE BOROUGH OF
TAUMARUNUI FOR A PUBLIC WORK

NOTICE is hereby given that the Taumarunui County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928
and the Counties Act 1956, to execute a public work, namely,
the establishment of a depot, and for that purpose to take
the land described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken
is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk of the
said Council in Miriama Street, Taumarunui, and is there
open for inspection; and that all persons affected should if
they have any well grounded objections to the execution of
the said work or to the taking of the land set forth the same
in writing and send the writing, within forty (40) days from
the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at
his office as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

ALL those parcels of land containing 4 acres and 9·5 perches,
more or less, situated in the Borough of Taumarunui in Block
II, Piopiotea West Survey District, being Lot 1 on Deposited
Plan 4996 of the Maori Land Court subdivision called Ohura
South N 2E 1c and other parts of the said Ohura South
N 2E 1c, and being parts of the land in provisional register,
Volume 16, folio 2, Taranaki Registry, as the same are more
particularly shown on a plan deposited in the office of the
Chief Surveyor at New Plymouth as No. S.O. 9249, and
thereon coloured yellow.

BOROUGH OF GLEN EDEN

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of
the Glen Eden Borough Council made on the 28th day of
September 1959, a district scheme has been recommended for
approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
The scheme relates to the Borough of Glen Eden. The
scheme has been deposited in the Council’s office, Valley
Road, Glen Eden, and the Glen Eden Public Library, West
Coast Road, Glen Eden, and is there open for inspection
without fee to all persons interested therein at any time when
the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be
in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule
to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and
shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time
not later than the 7th day of August 1961. At a later date
every objection will be open for public inspection, and any
person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will
be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he
notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which
public notice will be given.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Levin Section, County of Horowhenua
District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of
the Horowhenua County Council made on the 8th day of
March 1960, a district scheme has been recommended for
approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
The scheme relates to the area of the County of Horowhenua
adjacent to the Borough of Levin. The scheme has been
deposited in the County Office, Bath Street, Levin, in accordance
with section 22 (1) of that Act, and is there open for
inspection without fee to all persons interested therein at
any time when the above place is open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or any part thereof shall be in
writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town
and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged
at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 3rd
day of August 1961. At a later date every objection will be
open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to
support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard
at the hearing of objections if he notifies the County Clerk in
writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Christchurch City
Council, at its meeting on the 19th day of April 1961,
resolved to prepare for the land formerly in the Heathcote
County and amalgamated with the City of Christchurch from
1 April 1961 a district scheme as required by the provisions
of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is
hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its
opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the
proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “City of Christchurch District Scheme”
should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the
Town Clerk’s office on or before the 6th day of July 1961.
