PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION LEVYING SECURITY RATE
Hutt Estuary Bridge Redemption Loan 1961 of £40,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £40,000 authorised to be raised by the Petone Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the repayment of the Hutt Estuary Bridge Loan 1955, £45,000, the said Petone Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of ninety four-hundredths of a penny (⁹⁰/₄₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of Petone Borough, comprising the whole of the Petone Borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIKOUAITI BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waikouaiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,700 (four thousand seven hundred pounds) authorised to be raised by the Waikouaiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of financing the borough’s half share of cost of building offices and chambers conjointly with the Waikouaiti County Council, the Waikouaiti Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Waikouaiti; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 26th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

OAMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR STREET WIDENING (WEAVER AND SPEY STREETS) UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Oamaru Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of the public street known as Spey Street and the widening of part of the public street known as Weaver Street; and for the purposes of such public work the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for street; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Oamaru Borough Council situate in Thames Street, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, namely, the 20th day of April 1961, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Thames Street, Oamaru.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
