Extending a 30 Miles per Hour Speed Limit

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 26th day of September 1952* which relates to the Great North Road, formerly known as the Auckland-Helensville State Highway No. 6, in Glen Eden Borough and specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

Situated within Glen Eden Borough: The Great North Road (formerly known as the Auckland-Helensville State Highway No. 6) commencing at the north-western boundary of Glen Eden Borough and terminating at a point 16 chains measured in a south-easterly direction from the commencing point.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 8th day of September 1960.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All those pieces of land containing 16 acres 1 rood 16 perches situated in Block IX, Rangitoto Survey District, City of Auckland, Auckland R.D., and being Lots 1 and 2, Lots 4 to 35 (both inclusive), and Lots 39 to 44 (both inclusive) on the plan marked M.O.W. 2351 (H.D.A. 31089) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red, being part Lots 419 and 420, D.P. 43832.
