Authorising the Laying Off of a Street off Methuen Road Extension in the City of Auckland, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Auckland City Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for the whole of its length of less than 66 ft put not less than 45 ft, subject to a condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan marked M.O.W. 2379 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 15 ft from the side line of the said street.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
THAT proposed street in the City of Auckland containing by admeasurement 1 rood 14 perches, more or less, being part Lot 3, D.P. 131 and being part Allotment 66, Parish of Titi-rangi; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2379 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, hereby declares the Berwick Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 21st day of January 1952,* and the Otokia Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 8th day of March 1955β , to be united and to form one district having the name of the Saddle Hill Rabbit District, the boundaries of which shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto; and further declares that the basis on which the Rabbit Board to be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied by the ratepayer.
SCHEDULE
SADDLE HILL RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Counties of Bruce, Taieri, and Tuapeka, Boroughs of Mosgiel and Green Island, and City of Dunedin, containing 140,840 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-eastern boundary of Clarendon Survey District at the mouth of the Taieri River and proceeding generally north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Clarendon Survey District and generally westerly along the southern boundary of Maungatua Survey District to the north-western boundary of Block XXI, Waihola Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along that boundary to the south-eastern shore of Lake Wai-hola; thence generally south-westerly along that shore to the southernmost corner of Block X, Waihola Survey District; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Block X aforesaid, to the north-western side of the Claren-don-Berwick road; thence south-westerly along that side of that road to the north-eastern side of the Clarendon-Circle Hill road; thence generally north-westerly along that side of that road to the western boundary of Block VIII, Clarendon Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary of Block VIII and the western boundaries of Sections 57, 56, and 47, Block IX, Clarendon Survey District, to the southern boundary of Section 14, Block IX aforesaid; thence westerly along that boundary and its production to and along the southern boundary of Section 6, Block IX aforesaid, to the eastern boundary of Table Hill Survey District; thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of that survey district to the western boundary of Block X, Waipori Survey District; thence northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of that block to the middle of the Waipori River; thence generally south-easterly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Run 51A, Waipori Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station "Maungatua" in Block XIV, Maungatua Survey District; thence due east along
a right line to the western boundary of Section 12, Block XIV aforesaid; thence generally north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of that Section 12 and Section 24, Block XI, Maungatua Survey District, to the northernmost corner of that Section 24; thence north-easterly along a right line to Trig. "O" in Section 22, Block XI aforesaid; thence due north along a right line to the southern side of McHendry Road; thence generally easterly along the southern side of that road and its production to the north-western corner of Section 14, Block IX, Maungatua Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to the south-western corner of Section 12, Block IX aforesaid; thence generally north-westerly along the north-eastern side of No. 87 State Highway (Mosgiel-Kyeburn) to the south-eastern boundary of Section 10, Block IX aforesaid; thence generally north-easterly along that south-eastern boundary and its production to the middle of Traquair Burn; thence generally easterly and southerly down the middle of that burn and its production to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally north-easterly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 10, Block I, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Section 9, Block I aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the north-western boundary of Section 2 of 28, Block I aforesaid; thence generally north-easterly along the southern side of the road forming the generally northern boundaries of Sections 1 of 28, 2 of 28, 3 of 28, 26, 26A, and again 26, Block I aforesaid, and the north-western and northern boundaries of the land shown on D.P.'s 2495 and 5057, and Sections 26, 27, 2 of 28, 1 of 28, 1136R, and 38, Block II, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and the western boundaries of Sections 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block III, to the northern boundary of the Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of that survey district to Trig. "S", Swampy Spur; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 3, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, to a road and along a right line across that road to the easternmost corner of Section 11, Block V aforesaid; thence south-westerly along the eastern boundaries of that Section 11, Sections 10 and 9, Block V, to the southernmost corner of that Section 9; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of that Section 9 to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 55, Block V aforesaid; thence southerly to and along that boundary and the eastern boundary of Section 54, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, to its easternmost corner, being on the boundary of the City of Dunedin; thence generally south-westerly along the boundary of the City of Dunedin as described in Gazette, 1958, p. 477, to the southernmost corner of Lot 214; D.P. 6797, Ocean Beach Survey District; thence south-easterly along the production of the south-western boundary of Lot 214 aforesaid to its junction with the north-western side of Corstorphine Road; thence south-easterly along a right line across that road to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 78, Ocean Beach Survey District, to its south-eastern corner; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 101R, Ocean Beach Survey District, to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 77, Ocean Beach Survey District; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the north-western corner of Lot 28, D.P. 9158; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of Isadore Road and its production to the mean high-water mark of the ocean; thence generally south-westerly along the mean high-water mark of the ocean to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

(1) This order may be cited as the Waihopai Rabbit District Order 1961. (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

The boundaries of the Waihopai Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 1st day of September 1930,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
