of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Mangonui Development

PURSUANT to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on and from the
date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the pro-
visions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Hokianga Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of
the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described
in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the pro-
visions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said
land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 15 September
1930 and published in the Gazette, 25 September 1930,
Volume III, page 2850.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in County of Hawera
(Notice No. Ag. 7238)

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the
Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation
from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said
section, hereby publishes the following special order made by
the Hawera County Council on the 9th day of March 1961.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious
Weeds Act 1950, the Hawera County Council does hereby
resolve and declare, by way of special order, that the plants
mentioned in the Schedule hereto, being plants mentioned in
the First Schedule to the said Act, are noxious weeds within
the County of Hawera.

SCHEDULE

Barley grass (Hordeum murinum).
Caper spurge (Euphorbia lathyris).
Grecian thistle (Chamaepeuce afra).

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954—Proposed
Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

PURSUANT to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and
Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration
of the Dunedin Watchmakers’, Jewellers’, and Related Trades
Industrial Union of Workers, Registered No. 1563, situated at
Dunedin, will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be can-
celled on the expiration of six weeks from the date of the
publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Customs

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for
the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of
the under-mentioned goods under item 269 (1) (a) of the
Customs Tariff of New Zealand:

Strawboard for use in book-binding.

The application will not be dealt with until 20 April 1961
and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should
do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag,
Wellington, on or before 20 April 1961.
