SECOND SCHEDULE
DAILY GAME POSSESSION LIMIT
EXCEPT where all game is labelled with the following details:
(a) The name and address of the person by whom the game was taken;
(b) The number of the licence to hunt and kill game held by the person by whom the game was taken;
(c) The name of the acclimatisation society by which that licence was issued; and
(d) The date on which the game was taken,
no person shall have in his possession on any one day game in excess of the following numbers:
Saturday, 6 May 1961: A number of game corresponding to the number specified in this notification as the daily bag limit in respect of grey, mallard, shoveler (or spoonbill), and paradise ducks.
Sunday, 7 May 1961: Twice the number of game specified for Saturday, 6 May 1961.
Every Subsequent Day: As for Saturday, 6 May 1961.

Scheme of Control of Rangiora High School
PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the Scheme for the Control of Rangiora High School published in the Gazette on 15 July 1915, Volume II, page 2445; and approves of Rangiora High School being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools published in the Gazette on 6 December 1928, Volume III, page 3451:
Provided that:
(a) Clause 7 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “by the Council of the nearest borough within 5 miles of the school” were omitted, and the words “jointly by the Rangiora Borough Council and the Rangiora County Council” were substituted therefor:
(b) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if clause 9 were revoked:
(c) Clause 11 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “Such election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1929 and every alternate year thereafter” were omitted, and the words “An election shall be held in the month of March in the year 1961, and such an election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1964 and in every third year thereafter” were substituted therefor:
(d) Clause 16 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “an Education Board or Borough Council shall himself be a member of such body” were omitted, and the words “the Canterbury Education Board or jointly by the Rangiora Borough Council and the Rangiora County Council shall himself be a member of that Board or of those Councils, as the case may be” were substituted therefor:
(e) Clause 19 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if—
(i) Every reference to the year 1929 were a reference to the year 1964; and
(ii) The words “second year” were omitted, and the words “third year” substituted therefor:
(f) Clause 21 shall be read as if the following proviso were added thereto:
“Provided that every person so appointed or elected in the year 1961 shall assume office on the 1st day of April of that year, or so soon thereafter as his appointment or election has been notified to the Board.”:
(g) Clause 26 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the proviso thereto were revoked, and the following proviso substituted therefor:
“Provided that where any such vacancy is to be filled by election, the Board may at its discretion decide that no election shall be held if the vacancy occurs after the month of October immediately preceding the next ordinary election and before the persons elected at the ordinary election assume office.”:
(h) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if clause 43 were revoked, and the clause set out in the Schedule hereto were substituted therefor:
(i) Clause 47 shall be read as if the following proviso were added thereto:
“Provided that the Board may appoint a person to sign cheques in place of the Secretary.”:
(j) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if every reference to a biennial appointment were a reference to a triennial appointment.
SCHEDULE
CLAUSE TO BE SUBSTITUTED FOR CLAUSE 43 OF THE STANDARD SCHEME
- From time to time as may be necessary the Board shall appoint a Secretary, and shall appoint him or some other person with authority to receive money on the Board’s account. The Board shall forthwith inform the Minister of every such appointment. Where the Principal is appointed Secretary of the Board he shall not receive any additional remuneration in respect of that appointment.
