NOTICE OF CEASING TO CARRY ON BUSINESS
NOTICE is hereby given that, by special resolution passed on
23 February 1961, Matea Forests Ltd., a company incor-
porated in New South Wales and having a place of business
at Whakatane, New Zealand, resolved that it be wound up
voluntarily and that John Gerald Warden Vallance, of 27
Hunter Street, Sydney, chartered accountant, be appointed
liquidator, and, further, notice is given that after the expira-
tion of three months from first publication of this notice the
said company will cease to have a place of business in New
Zealand.

BAY OF PLENTY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board Reticulation Extension
Loan 1960, £150,000
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Bay
of Plenty Electric Power Board held on the 14th day of
March 1961 the following resolution was passed:
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board hereby resolves as
follows:
That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand pounds)
authorised to be raised by the Bay of Plenty Electric Power
Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit
of the Bay of Plenty Electric Power District, and for such
purposes to do all or any of such matters and things which
the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards
Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and
authorities it enabling, the said Bay of Plenty Electric
Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one penny (1d.)
in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of
the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Bay
of Plenty Electric Power Board District; and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March
in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.”

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kaikoura
County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of seventeen thousand pounds (£17,000) authorised to be
raised by the Kaikoura County Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distribu-
ting electrical energy in the Clarence Riding of the Kaikoura
County, the Kaikoura County Council hereby makes a special
rate of two decimal one eight pence (2·18d.) in the pound
(£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value)
of all rateable property in the Clarence Electrical
Reticulation Loan Special-rating Area; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twelve (12) years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Electricity Development Loan 1960 of £300,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £300,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of developing the Dunedin City Council reticulation system,
including distribution lines, substations, street lighting, meters,
buildings, vehicles, communications and system control, etc.,
the Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of
0·339d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all
rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising the
whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period
of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on
Monday, the 6th day of March 1961.
