FIRST SCHEDULE

THE Auckland City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to portion of the north-western side of Putiki Street and portion of the western side of Waima Street fronting a subdivision of Lot 5, Section 1, D.P. 14120, part Allotment 14, Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 352, folio 59, and more particularly shown coloured red on plan A 2721/2.

SECOND SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

THE north-western side of all that portion of Putiki Street in the City of Auckland fronting Lot 5, Section 1, on D.P. 14120, being part Allotment 14 of Section 7 of the Suburbs of Auckland.

The western side of all that portion of Waima Street in the City of Auckland fronting Lot 5, Section 1, on D.P. 14120, being part Allotment 14 of Section 7 of the Suburbs of Auckland.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2261 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The North-eastern Side of Portion of Grey Street in the Borough of Hawera Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 20th day of March 1961

Present:

PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Hawera Borough Council on the 19th day of December 1960, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

THE Hawera Borough Council, being the local authority having control of Grey Street within the Borough of Hawera, hereby resolves that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the north-eastern side of Grey Street between Princes Street and Cambria Street.

SECOND SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

THE north-eastern side of all that portion of Grey Street in the Borough of Hawera situated between Princes Street and Cambria Street, and fronting Lots 1, 13, and 14, D.P. 23, being part section 34, Town of Hawera; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2295 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

ALL that piece of road containing 3 acres 2 roods 15Β·7 perches situated in Block IV, Rolleston Survey District, and Block XVI, Mairaki Survey District, Canterbury R.D., adjoining Lot 3, D.P. 14687, being Rural Sections 9608, 32744, 32831, and 32963; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2314 (S.O. 9701) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Authorising the Laying Off of Portion of a Street off the Warkworth-Leigh Main Highway in the Warkworth Town District, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Warkworth Town Council to permit the laying off of the proposed portion of street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66ft, but not less than 40ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 1, 2, 4, 8, and 9 of a subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan marked M.O.W. 2294 referred to in the Schedule hereto within 15ft of the side line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Warkworth Town District, Auckland R.D., containing by admeasurement 1 rood 6 perches, being part Allotment 49, Parish of Mahurangi; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2294 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Appointment of High Commissioner for New Zealand in the United Kingdom

To the Honourable Thomas Lachlan Macdonald, of Wellington, New Zealand.

PURSUANT to the External Affairs Act, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoint you to be the High Commissioner for New Zealand in the United Kingdom, to hold office for the term commencing on the 9th day of March 1961 and ending with the 8th day of March 1964, subject, however, to the provisions of the said Act.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 13th day of March 1961.

Appointing a Member of the Christchurch-Lyttelton Road Tunnel Authority

COBHAM, Governor-General

PURSUANT to sections 4 and 5 of the Christchurch-Lyttelton Road Tunnel Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby reappoints Raymond Augustus Witbrock, of Oxford, farmer, to be a member of the Christchurch-Lyttelton Road Tunnel Authority as from his resignation on the 22nd day of December 1960.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 14th day of March 1961.
