Land Taken for State Housing Purposes in the City of Gisborne

COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto is hereby taken for State housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 27th day of February 1961.

FIRST SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land situated in the City of Gisborne, Gisborne R.D., described as follows:

A. R. P. Being
5 0 29·2 Part Lot 1, D.P. 2536, being parts of Sections 214, 216, and 217, Gisborne Suburban.
0 2 29·9 Part Lot 1, D.P. 2444, being part Taumutu-o-Ruku No. 1 Block.
5 2 1·6 Part Lot 2, D.P. 2444, being part Taumutu-o-Ruku No. 1 Block.
1 0 37·6 Part Taumutu-o-Ruku No. 2 Block.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 1969 (S.O. 5241) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

SECOND SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 2 acres 3 roods 4·6 perches situated in the City of Gisborne, Gisborne R.D., and being part Waikanae No. 7 Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 1970 (S.O. 5239) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 15th day of February 1961.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby taken, subject to the fencing agreement contained in transfer S. 90230 and, as to Lots 52, 55, and 58, D.P. S. 6526, to the drainage easement created by transfer S. 191757, Auckland Land Registry, for Maori housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 27th day of February 1961.
