WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council
proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the con-
struction of a public road, for which purpose the lands
described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by
the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public
Works Act 1928.
A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid is
open for public inspection at the office of the Waipa County
Council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth
in writing any well founded objections to the execution of
such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such
writings to the Waipa County Council, Bank Street, Te
Awamutu, within 40 days from the first publication of this
notice.

WAIR0A BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Electricity Housing Loan 1958, £3,000
PUBLIC notice is given of the following resolution passed
at a meeting of the Wairoa Borough Council on the 6th
day of February 1961:
"Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000) authorised
to be raised by the Wairoa Borough Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the erection or purchase of a
staff house, the said Wairoa Borough Council hereby makes
a special rate of decimal one seven of a penny (0·17d.)
upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the
Borough of Wairoa comprising the whole of the Wairoa
Borough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."

MALVERN COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mal-
vern County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £7,500 authorised to be raised by the Malvern County
Council under the above Act for the purpose of completing the
work for which the Kimberley Water Race Loan 1958 was
raised, the said Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·023
pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable capital value of all
rateable property in the Kimberley Water Race Special-rating
Area in the County of Malvern; and that the special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the
loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of April
in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

BOROUGH OF TAIHAPE
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PURSUANT to regulation 18/7 of the Town and Country
Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given
that, pursuant to a resolution of the Taihape Borough Council
made on the 8th day of February 1961, the closing date for
objections to the district scheme relating to the Borough
of Taihape has now been extended to 31 March 1961.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of
the Havelock County Town taken on Saturday, 4 February
1961, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to
raise a loan of £2,000, to be known as the Havelock Town Hall
Loan 1960, £2,000, for the purpose of repairing and improving
the Havelock Town Hall resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ....... 38
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 17
The number of informal votes was .............. Nil
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
