In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Broadlands Forests Ltd., a public limited liability company having its registered office in the City of Auckland and carrying on business as a timber grower.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Auckland, dated the 2nd day of February 1961, confirming the resolutions cancelling 23,157 unissued preference shares each of £1 in the capital of the above-named company and reducing the company’s issued capital from 71,500 ordinary shares each of £1 and 12,593 preference shares each of £1 to the like number of ordinary shares and preference shares each of 19s., and the minute approved by the Court showing, with respect to the capital of the company as so altered, the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, was registered by the District Registrar of Companies at Auckland on the 7th day of February 1961. The said minute is in the words and figures following:

“The capital of Broadlands Forests Ltd. is £79,888 7s. divided into 71,500 fully paid ordinary shares of 19s. each and 12,593 fully paid preference shares of 19s. each, having been reduced from £84,093 divided into 71,500 fully paid ordinary shares of £1 each and 12,593 fully paid preference shares of £1 each.”

UPON reading the notice of motion filed herein and the affidavit of Mother Mary Cecilia Carey and the report of the Attorney-General filed herein; and upon hearing Mr R. M. Daniell of Counsel on behalf of the above-named trust board, and Mr Quill on behalf of the Attorney-General, who consented to this order, the Honourable Mr Justice McGregor hereby orders that, pursuant to Part III and section 53 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, the scheme, dated 3 October 1960 and filed herein, for extending the powers of the trustees and prescribing the mode of administering the trust be and is hereby approved; and hereby further orders that the Order of Saint Brigid Trust Board pay the sum of ten pounds ten shillings (£10 10s.) costs to the Attorney-General.

PATANGATA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CLOSE ROAD AND TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that the Patangata County Council proposes to close the road described in the First Schedule hereto and to take the land in the Second Schedule for road; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the road to be closed and the land to be taken for road is deposited at the offices of the Patangata County Council, Northumberland Street, Waipukurau, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during office hours.

All persons objecting to the proposal to close the said road or take the said land for road must lodge their objection in writing at the office of the Patangata County Council on or before the 24th day of December 1960.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD PURPOSES UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Horowhenua require to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto. The lands are required for the purpose of a public work, namely, for a road.

Notice is hereby given that a plan of the said lands is open for inspection at the offices of the Horowhenua County Council, Bath Street, Levin.

All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Bath Street, Levin.
