Allocating Land Acquired for Railway Purposes in the Ashburton County to the Purposes of a Road
COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become a road and that the said road shall be under the control of the Ashburton County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
FIRST SCHEDULE
RAILWAY LAND ALLOCATED TO ROAD
ALL that piece of land situated in Block VII, Corwar Survey District, containing 1 rood 33 perches, more or less, being part Rural Section 27399, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 125, folio 8, Canterbury Registration, also, all that piece of land situated in Block XII, Spaxton Survey District, containing 1 acre 3 roods, more or less, being part Rural Section 26776, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 105, folio 213, Canterbury Registration.
SECOND SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of railway land allocated to road:

Situated in Ashburton County.
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 17002 (in 6 Sheets) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 6th day of February 1961.

Crown Land Set Apart for Railway Purposes at Titahi Bay
COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 20th day of February 1961.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land set apart:

0 1 7·85 Section 191, Porirua District.
Situated in Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, Makara County. (S.O. 24840.)
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 17129 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 8th day of February 1961.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Otago Central Railway.

1 2 31·2 Part Section 13; coloured orange.
0 2 30 Part Crown land; coloured blue.
2 2 31·8 Part Section 4; coloured orange.
All situated in Block III, Rock and Pillar Survey District, Maniototo County. (S.O. 12981.)
In the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 17108 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
