CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957

In the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 and in the matter of the trusts of certain moneys held by the Baptist Union of New Zealand and arising from the estate of Letitia Ings, late of Dunedin, spinster, deceased, and in the matter of a proposed application to the Supreme Court of New Zealand for approval of a scheme relating to those trusts.

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, notice is hereby given that an application will be made to the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Dunedin on the 3rd day of March 1961 for approval of the following scheme under Part III of the said Act:

(1) That the proceeds of the sale of the property devised and bequeathed to the Baptist Union of New Zealand under the will of Letitia Ings, of Dunedin, spinster (now deceased), for the purposes of a home for elderly women who are in need of a home and who are members of a Baptist Church, and the residue of the estate of the said Letitia Ings bequeathed to the Baptist Union of New Zealand for application to any purpose or purposes connected with such home, together in each case with the accrued and future income thereof, be applied by the said union for the purpose of establishing and equipping or maintaining a home at Dunedin for elderly women in need of a home.

(2) That the home be vested in the Baptist Union of New Zealand and be controlled by a Board of Management which shall be approved by the Otago and Southland Association of Churches of the Baptist Union or by such other body as the Baptist Union from time to time decides.

(3) That the reasonable expenses of and incidental to preparing, perusing, and advertising this scheme, including the costs of the Attorney-General in relation thereto, shall be paid out of and be a charge upon the property income or money affected by this scheme.

Any person desiring to oppose the said scheme is hereby required to give written notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Dunedin, to the Baptist Union of New Zealand care of Messrs Adams Bros., 67 Bond Street, Dunedin, and to the Attorney-General, Wellington, not less than seven clear days before the said date.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon.
