TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF DANNEVIRKE BOROUGH DISTRICT PLANNING SCHEME NO. VI

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Dannevirke Borough Council made on the 31st day of October 1960, an amendment to the district planning scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the Borough of Dannevirke. The scheme amendment has been deposited in the office of the Council and in the Dannevirke Public Library, in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act, and is there open for inspection without fee to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme amendment or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 12th day of May 1961. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

In the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, and in the matter of the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees, and in the matter of the estate of James Sanderson, of Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland in the Dominion of New Zealand, architect, deceased, and in the matter of the estate of Jessie Ann Keir, of Christchurch, in the Dominion of New Zealand, spinster, deceased, and in the matter of the estate of Mary Linson Glendining, of Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago, in the Dominion of New Zealand, widow, deceased.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 36 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, of application to the Supreme Court at Wellington for approval of a scheme of the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees for administration of certain charitable bequests under the aforementioned wills.

The Presbyterian Church Property Trustees have prepared a scheme for the disposition of moneys held by them which by the will of the above-mentioned James Sanderson are directed to be applied in and towards the erection and maintenance of a new wing or ward to the respective mission hospitals supported by the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, known as the Indian Mission and the Canton Village Mission respectively, and of funds directed by the will of the above-named Jessie Ann Keir to be used in connection with the medical department of the Presbyterian Canton Village Mission, and funds which by the will of the above-named Mary Linson Glendining were directed to be applied in or towards foreign mission work of the Presbyterian Church in China and for a residence for nurses of the Presbyterian Hospital in Canton Village.

PARTICULARS OF THE SAID SCHEME

The trustees shall stand possessed of the funds held upon the aforesaid trusts and all income accrued and accruing on such funds to pay the costs of and incidental to the preparation and approval of the scheme, and to hold and apply the balance for and towards the general purposes of the medical mission supported by the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand in the town of Jagadhri in the Ambala District in the Province of Punjab in India, and plaques acknowledging the respective bequests shall be placed in the hospital buildings of the said mission.

The said scheme and the Attorney-General’s report thereon have been filed in and may be inspected at the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington.

The date proposed for the hearing of the application to approve the said scheme is the 29th day of March 1961.

Any person desiring to oppose the said scheme is required to give written notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Wellington, and to the said trustees, whose address for service is at the office of Messrs Macalister, Mazengarb, Parkin, and Rose, 21 Brandon Street, Wellington, and to the Attorney-General not less than seven clear days before the said date proposed for the hearing of the application.
