FRANKLIN ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan 1960, £120,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Franklin Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Reticulation Loan 1960 of £120,000 authorised to be raised by the Franklin Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating, supplying, and developing the Franklin Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Franklin Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen-fortieths of a penny (13/40d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Franklin Electric Power District; and such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of February in each and every year, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

BOROUGH OF OHAKUNE

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Electricity Supply Expansion Loan 1960, £15,000

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in its in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ohakune Borough Council resolved as follows at a meeting held on 19 January 1961:

“That, pursuant to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) proposed to be borrowed for the purpose of extending and improving the Borough Council’s electrical reticulation system and purchasing equipment therefor, the Ohakune Borough Council hereby makes and levies and appropriates and pledges a special rate of eight and one-tenth pence (8 1/10d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all property in the Borough of Ohakune; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”
