Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Ngapeke Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 30 June 1937, and published in the Gazette, 8 July 1937, Volume II, page 1624.

Declaring Land to be Subject to the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953
PURSUANT to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on and from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Return of Insurance Premiums Required from Persons, etc., Insuring Property Against Fire Otherwise Than With an Insurance Company Carrying on Business in New Zealand
THE attention of all persons, firms, companies, and associations being owners of property in respect of which premiums are paid to an insurance company not carrying on business in New Zealand is drawn to section 52 of the Fire Services Act 1949 (as amended by the Fire Services Amendment Acts 1953 and 1956), and furthermore the attention of all persons, firms, companies, and associations in possession of funds for insurance purposes is drawn to section 52 (2) of the Act, which is quoted as follows:
“For the purpose of this section where an owner of any property within a united urban fire district, urban fire district, or a secondary urban fire district makes a payment in respect of that property to any fund established for insurance purposes either within or beyond New Zealand, the person in possession of the fund shall be deemed to be an insurance company and every amount paid to the fund shall be deemed to be a premium.”
By notice in the Gazette, dated 26 January 1961, the Minister of Internal Affairs has fixed 28 February 1961 as the date by which returns showing the total gross amount of premiums received by or due to fire-insurance companies during the year ended 31 December 1960 shall be transmitted to the Fire Service Council.
Returns, accompanied by a statutory declaration, must be lodged forthwith, and should be addressed to the Secretary, Fire Service Council, G.P.O. Box 2133, Wellington.

Declaring Land in North Auckland Land District to be a Water Area for the Purposes of Section 50 of the Land Act 1948
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 50 of the Land Act 1948, the Land Settlement Board hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto (being land on which waterworks are erected or are intended to be erected for the supply of water to the said land) to be a water area for the purposes of the said section.

Boundaries of Borough of Te Awamutu, County of Waipa, and Orakau Riding of County of Waipa Defined
PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Te Awamutu, the County of Waipa, and the Orakau Riding of the County of Waipa, the previous boundaries having been altered by Order in Council made on the 27th day of April 1960, and published in Gazette, 28 April 1960, No 27, page 542.

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF TE AWAMUTU
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of that part of Allotment 317, Mangapiko Parish, shown on S.O. 21552, on the left bank of the Mangapiko Stream, in Block II, Puniu Survey District, and proceeding easterly generally along the left bank of that stream to and up the middle of the Mangahoi Stream to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S. 960, in Block VII, Puniu Survey District; thence along a right line to and along that south-eastern boundary and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. S. 960, to the southernmost corner of that Lot 2; thence along a right line in the direction of the northernmost corner of Allotment 139, Puniu Parish, crossing the Te Awamutu-Kihikihi Flat road, part Lot 9, D.P. 417, part Allotments 135 and 136, as shown on D.P. 12942, and Lot 1, D.P. S. 3633, to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Lot 145, Land Transfer Plan S. 6405; thence southerly generally along the eastern boundaries of Lots 145 to 165 inclusive and Lot 167, Land Transfer Plan S. 6405, to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 181 and the southern boundary of Lot 182, D.P. S. 4569, to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 182; thence south-westerly generally along the western boundary of Allotments 138 and 390, and the last-mentioned boundary produced part way across the Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth State Highway No. 3 to the northernmost corner of Allotment 142 as shown on S.O. 327; thence along a right line crossing the remaining width of the said highway, and along the north-western boundary of the aforementioned Allotment 142 to a point 1000 links distant from the northernmost corner of the said allotment; thence north-westerly generally along a right line crossing part Lot 8, D.P. 255, and part Allotment 143 as shown on D.P. 15907 to the easternmost corner of part Allotment 144A as shown on D.P. 754; thence along the north-eastern boundary of that part of Allotment 144A for a distance of 670 links and along a right line crossing parts Allotments 144A, 144, and 145, as shown on D.P. 754, to a point on the southern boundary of part Allotment 145, being 1000 links distant from the westernmost corner of Lot 10, D.P. S. 1389, being part Allotment 145, all the aforesaid allotments being in Puniu Parish; thence along that last-mentioned southern boundary to and along the southern boundary of the aforementioned Lot 10, to and north-easterly along the south-eastern side of Puniu Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Allotment 232, Mangapiko Parish, crossing Puniu Road to and generally northerly along a right line to and along the said eastern boundary and along a right line crossing Allotment 231 to peg VIII on the North Island Main Trunk Railway shown on S.O. 3908, Sheet 1; thence along a right line crossing the said railway, parts Allotments 230, 229, and 228, on a bearing of 264° 30′ for a distance of 3700 links and north-westerly along another right line crossing part Allotment 228 and Rewi Street to the south-eastern corner of that part of Allotment 243 shown on S.O. 39160; thence generally northerly along the eastern boundaries of Allotments 243 and 242 and along a right line crossing Alexander Street to and along the south-eastern boundary of that part of Allotment 317 shown on S.O. 21552, all the aforesaid allotments being in Mangapiko Parish, to the point of commencement.
BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF WAIPA
All that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block VII, Newcastle Survey District, in the middle of the Waipa River, in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 109A, Suburbs of Newcastle South, and proceeding easterly generally along a right line to and along the generally southern boundary of the Borough of Ngaruawahia as described in Gazette, 1921, page 501, to and along another right line being the production of the south-eastern boundary of Lot 22, D.P. S. 546, to the middle of the Waikato River; thence south-easterly generally up the middle of the said river to and along the generally northern, western, and southern boundaries of the City of Hamilton as described in Gazette, 1959, page 467, to and up the middle of the Waikato River aforesaid to and along the generally western, southern, and eastern boundaries of the Borough of Cambridge as described in Gazette, 1958, page 1732, to and again up the middle of the aforesaid river to a point in line with the western boundary of part Pukekura 1 shown on D.P. 27186; thence southerly generally along the said western boundary of Pukekura 1, along a right line crossing a public road to and along the generally western boundary of part Pukekura 1, part Section 1, Block XIV, Cambridge Survey District, parts Pukekura 1, 2, and 3, part Pukekura 4, shown on D.P. 9392, Pukekura 5, Section
