Taking Land for Public Purposes at Mauke (Cook Islands)

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 1st day of February 1961
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 357 of the Cook Islands Act 1915, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby takes the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the following public purpose, namely, health.

SCHEDULE
(1) All that parcel of land situated in Mokoero Tapere, District of Ngatiarua in the Island of Mauke, Cook Islands, containing 3 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more or less, being part of the land named by the Native Land Court, Te Uataa, Section 9J; as the same is delineated and edged yellow on the plan signed by the Resident Commissioner of the Cook Islands, and deposited in the office of the Registrar of the High Court of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga under No. 73.
(2) All that parcel of land situated in Te Tukunga Tapere, District of Ngatiarua in the Island of Mauke, Cook Islands, containing 1 acre and 4 perches, more or less, being part of the land named by the Native Land Court, Waiuna, 11A; as the same is delineated and edged sepia on the plan signed by the Resident Commissioner of the Cook Islands, and deposited in the office of the Registrar of the High Court at Rarotonga under No. 73.

Postponing the Revision of District Valuation Rolls

PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the revision of the district valuation rolls for the districts enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be postponed and that such revision shall thereupon be made not later than as at the date specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

Constituting Waipara Secondary Urban Fire District

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER
THE urban area of Waipara in the County of Waipara is hereby constituted a secondary urban fire district by the name of the Waipara Secondary Urban Fire District.

The Tamaki High School Board of Governors Order 1961

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Tamaki High School Board of Governors Order 1961.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1961.
  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of Tamaki High School, prescribed by the Tamaki High School Board of Governors Order 1956,* is hereby varied so that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section 90 of the Education Act 1914, the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;
    (b) Seven members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school;
    (c) One member appointed by the Governor-General;
    (d) One member to be co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.
  3. The Tamaki High School Board of Governors Order 1956 is hereby revoked.
