Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work at Outram
and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the
Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act
1948 as from the 16th day of January 1961.

Licensing the Ellesmere Aquatic Club to Use and Occupy a
Part of the Foreshore at Lakeside Domain, Lake Ellesmere,
as a Site for a Boat Harbour
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits the Ellesmere Aquatic Club
(hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its
successors or assigns unless the context requires a different
construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and
land below low-water mark at Lakeside Domain, Lake Elles-
mere, as shown on plan marked M.D. 8526 and deposited in
the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the
purpose of maintaining a boat harbour thereon, as shown on
the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the
licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth
in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regula-
tions 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so
far as applicable, apply hereto. - The premium payable by the licensee shall be ten shillings
(10s.) and the annual sum so payable two pounds (£2). - The term of this licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day
of November 1960.

Declaring Areas for Operation of Motor Launches and
Water Skiers
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1958, the Minis-
ter of Marine hereby declares that for a period of two years
from the date of this notice, subject to compliance with the
conditions set out in the Second Schedule hereto, the area of
water described in the First Schedule hereto shall not be
subject to regulations 9 and 10 of the Motor Launch Regula-
tions 1958.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water in the Taieri and Waipori Rivers
commencing at John Bull Head and extending to the Titri
Railway Bridge and the Henley-Berwick Traffic Bridge,
excepting thereout those areas of water within 30 yards of
each shore southward of the confluence of the Waipori and
Tairei Rivers between the Titri Traffic Bridge and the Titri
Railway Bridge.
SECOND SCHEDULE
- At the following places there shall be placed notice
boards:
(a) On both banks of the river at John Bull Head;
(b) At the beginning of the road leading to the river at the
southern end of the Titri Railway Bridge;
(c) On both banks of the river at Titri Railway Bridge;
(d) On the launching ramp at the Henley-Berwick Traffic
Bridge. - The aforesaid notice boards shall measure not less than
2ft 6 in. by 2 ft, shall be painted white with black letters,
and shall contain the following notice:
"NOTICE
Motor Launch Regulations 1958
Between John Bull Head and the Titri Railway Bridge and
the Henley-Berwick Traffic Bridge motor launches and water
skiers may travel at speeds greater than 5 m.p.h. but must
keep at least 30 yards from the shore between the Titri Traffic
Bridge and the Titri Railway Bridge."

Licensing Hopper Brothers Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of
the Foreshore and Bed of the Harbour at Wade River as a
Site for a Berth for Barges with Provision for Sand and
Shingle Storage
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits Hopper Brothers Ltd. (hereinafter
called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or
assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to
use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the
Harbour at Wade River, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10937
and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at
Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining
thereon a barge berth with provision for sand and shingle
storage as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held
and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms
and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regula-
tions 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far
as applicable, apply hereto. - The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Invercargill
for the Purposes of the Invercargill Licensing Act 1950
Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the pro-
visions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the lands
described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the
Invercargill Licensing Trust Act 1950; and notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the lands so required to be
taken is deposited in the post office at Invercargill
and is there open for inspection; and that all persons
affected by the taking of the said lands should if they have
any well grounded objections to the taking of such lands set
forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40
days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister
of Works at Wellington.

Council (Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of
Refusals and Prohibitions)
Pursuant to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and
Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the
period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made
by the Waimairi County Council in the interests of the Wai-
mairi County District Scheme, which refusal or prohibition
but for this notice would expire between the date of public
notification hereof and the 1st day of November 1961 inclusive
is hereby extended to the said 1st day of November 1961.
