HOWICK BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Howick Borough Council hereby resolves:
“That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a sewerage loan of £42,000 authorised to be raised by the Howick Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of sewerage reticulation, the said Howick Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·695d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the rate district comprising the whole of the Borough of Howick; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waimate County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the land described in the Schedule hereto.
A plan showing the land proposed to be taken is available for public inspection at the office of the Waimate County Council, Queen Street, Waimate. Any persons having any well grounded objection to the proposed taking should lodge their objections in writing within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice to the said office of the Waimate County Council.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 1 acre and 37·8 perches, situated in Block XIV, Waimate Survey District, Canterbury R.D., being part Rural Section 4312; as the same is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 9472 and thereon coloured blue, being land adjoining and forming part of Mill Road near Allan Street.

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, to execute the public works hereunder mentioned and for the purposes of which public works the land described in the Schedules hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Whakatane County Council situated at the Strand, Whakatane, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Clerk of the said Council at the said office.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
Notice is hereby given that the Springs County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road.

DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE
Pursuant to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Milton taken on the 6th day of February 1960 on the proposal that the system of rating in the said Borough be on the unimproved value:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 185 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 257
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
