NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the 23rd day of December 1959, confirming the reduction of capital of the above-named company from £42,500 to £100, and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 5th day of February 1960. The said minute is in the words and figures following:
"That the capital of E. Ellingham and Co. Ltd. is £100 divided into 100 shares of one pound each fully paid having been reduced from £42,500 divided into 42,500 shares of one pound each fully paid."

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL

SPECIAL ORDER

In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 109 of the Counties Act 1956, the Whangarei County Council resolves by way of special order as follows:
"That section 107 of the Counties Act 1956 (as to the levying of general rate separately in each riding and apportionment of expenditure), shall not apply to the Whangarei County Council.
"That the said special order take effect from the 1st day of April 1960."
The foregoing special order was passed at a special meeting of the Whangarei County Council held on the 4th day of December 1959, duly advertised in the Northern Advocate on the 8th and 29th days of December 1959, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council held at 10 a.m. on the 12th day of February 1960.

NEW LYNN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Lynn Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £25,000 authorised to be raised by the New Lynn Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting and furnishing a municipal administration building and acquiring land for access thereto, the said New Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal three five pence (.35d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of New Lynn; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

OPOTIKI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Completion and Extension Loan 1959, £23,850: First Issue £10,000

"THAT, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Opotiki Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing and extending drainage, sewerage, and sewage-disposal works within the Borough of Opotiki, the said Opotiki Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point seven nine one of a penny (.791d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Opotiki; and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Opotiki Borough Council held on Thursday, the 7th day of January 1960.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act (which said loan is the third issue of the Streets Improvement Loan 1958 of £200,000), for the purpose of the reconstruction and surface sealing of streets, the construction of footpaths and kerbing and channelling, the provision of stormwater drains, and the completion of an asphalt plant, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
