Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block III, IV, and VIII,
Russell Survey District, for Road
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the pro-
vissions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land
described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is
hereby further given that the plans of the land so required to
be taken are deposited in the post office at Russell and are
there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the
taking of the said land should, if they have any well
grounded objections to the taking of the said land, set forth
the same in writing and send the writing, within 40 days from
the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works
at Wellington.

Consent to Erection of Flashing Red Traffic Control Lights
PURSUANT to subclause (5) of regulation 18 of the Traffic
Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby consents
to the erection of flashing red lights by the Dunedin City
Council at the three places described in the Schedule hereto
for the purpose of traffic control in terms of subclause (4)
of the said regulation 18.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Dunedin City on St. Andrew Street at its
eastern approach to Castle Street, and on Hillside Road at a
point approximately 20 ft south-west of its junction with Brad-
shaw Street and also on Hillside Road at a point approxi-
mately 120 ft south-west of its junction with Burns Street; as
the same are more particularly indicated on plans Nos.
TT. 2383 and TT. 2384 deposited in the Head Office of the
Transport Department at Wellington.

Exemption from Annual Licence Fees: Mobile Filter for
Transformer Oil
PURSUANT to paragraph (n) of the First Schedule to the
Motor Vehicles (Licensing Fees Exemption) Regulations
1948,* the Minister of Transport hereby exempts the motor
vehicle described in the Schedule hereto from the payment of
annual licence fees under Part II of the Transport Act 1949.
SCHEDULE
ANY trailer designed and used on a road exclusively as a
mobile filter for transformer oil used in electrical substations.

Revoking an Exclusion from Speed Limitation and Declaring
a Limited Speed Zone
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives notice as follows:
-
That Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949
and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* dated the
10th day of February 1958†, which relates to an area in
Huntly Borough is hereby revoked. -
The road specified in the First Schedule to this notice is
hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by
section 36 of the Transport Act 1949. -
The road specified in the Second Schedule to this notice is
hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes
of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Huntly Borough—
The Auckland-Hamilton State Highway (from its junction
with Hakanoa Street to the northern boundary of Huntly
Borough and from a point 17 chains north of the junction of
Jackson’s Road with the said State highway to the southern
boundary of Huntly Borough).
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Huntly Borough—
The Auckland-Hamilton State Highway (from its junction
with Hakanoa Street to a point 22 chains measured in a
northerly direction along the Auckland-Hamilton State High-
way from the said junction).

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives notice that the roads specified in the
Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be limited
speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Manukau County adjacent to Otahuhu
Borough—
Favona Road (from its junction with Kahu Street to a
point 9 chains east of the junction of Favona Road with
Beach Road).
Tui Street (from its junction with Favona Road to the
junction of Kaka Street with Tui Street).
Kaka Street.
Situated within Manukau County at Favona—
Walmsley Road.
Favona Road (from its junction with Robertson Road to
a point 30 chains measured in a north-easterly direction along
Favona Road from the said junction).
