MOUNT MAUNGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Fire Station Loan 1960, £27,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Fire Services Act 1949, Municipal Corporations
Act 1954, Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and the regula-
tions thereunder, the Mount Maunganui Borough Council
hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on the loan of £27,000 authorised to be raised by the
Mount Maunganui Borough Council under the above-men-
tioned Acts for the purpose of erecting a fire station, the said
Mount Maunganui Borough Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of nine thirty-seconds of a penny (9/32d.) in
the pound (£) upon the rateable value on the basis of the
unimproved value of all the rateable property in the Borough
of Mount Maunganui; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan or
until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the Mount Maunganui Borough Council held on the 20th
day of December 1960.

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £400,000 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of providing new sewage disposal and reticulation, the said
Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of one
and three hundred and sixty-two one-thousandths of a penny
(1·362d.) in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value
of all rateable property in the City of Gisborne; and that the
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the cur-
rency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
August in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of
a resolution passed by the Gisborne City Council at an
ordinary meeting held on the 13th day of December 1960.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
War Memorial Loan (No. 2) 1960 of £36,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £36,000 authorised to be raised by the Masterton
Borough Council under the above Act for the purpose of
completing the War Memorial Project, the said Masterton
Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal
three five (0·35) pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable
value of all rateable property in the Borough of Masterton;
and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring charge
during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the
1st day of April in each year during the currency of the loan,
being twenty (20) years, or until such time as the loan is
fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted
meeting of the Masterton Borough Council held on the 13th
day of December 1960.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Streets Reconstruction Loan (No. 10) 1960, £30,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000)
authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of recon-
structing part of High Street, the said Lower Hutt City
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two
hundred and forty-one thousandths of a penny (0·241d.) in
the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the
annual value) of all rateable property in the city of Lower
Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be
payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of 25 years, or until the loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the
12th day of December 1960.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Wellington City Housing Loan 1960 of £27,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, repayment of principal, and other charges, on a loan of
twenty-seven thousand pounds (£27,000), to be known as
the Wellington City Housing Loan 1960 of £27,000, author-
is ed to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting flats for
aged persons, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a
special rate of eight one-thousandths of a penny (0·008d.)
in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole
of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on Wednesday, the 14th day of
December 1960.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD AND LAND FOR
THE USE, CONVENIENCE, OR ENJOYMENT OF ROAD, AND
CLOSING OF ROAD UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitomo County Council
proposes, under the above-mentioned Act, to take the land
in the First Schedule hereto for road; to take the land in the
Second Schedule hereto for the use, convenience, or enjoy-
ment of road; and to close portion of the road described in
the Third Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given
that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in
the public office of the Clerk of the above Council, situated
at Te Kuiti, and is open for public inspection, without fee,
by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons
affected by the taking of the said land or the closing of the
said road who have any objections thereto must state their
objections in writing and lodge same at the office of the
County Clerk within 40 days from the date of the first
publication of this notice.
