Tariff Notice—Decision on Application for Approval

NOTICE is hereby given that the application notified in Tariff Notice No. 43* for the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of

Wire reinforced neoprene hoses with fittings attached,

under item 199 (1) (a) of the Customs Tariff, has been declined.

Notice to Make Payment of Income Tax Under the Land and Income Tax Act 1954

PURSUANT to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue hereby gives notice as follows:

Income tax payable for the year of assessment which commenced on the 1st day of April 1960 on income derived (or deemed to have been derived) during the income year which commenced on the 1st day of April 1959 by:

(1) Every subsisting company* otherwise than as trustee or agent;

(2) Every public authority otherwise than as trustee or agent;

(3) Every Maori authority;

shall be due and payable in one sum on the 7th day of February 1961 at any office of the Taxes Division, Inland Revenue Department, or at any money-order post office.

*“Subsisting company” means a company which was incorporated before the 26th day of July 1957; but does not include a company which by virtue of an election under section 42 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1957 has become a provisional taxpayer.
