FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nine five pence (0·095d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Franklin and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year until the loan is fully paid off."

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Franklin County Council held on the 28th day of November 1960.

GISBORNE HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, pursuant to the provisions of the Gisborne Harbour Board Empowering Act 1956, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds authorised to be raised by the Gisborne Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Acts for constructing part of the sea wall and No. 6 Wharf, the said Gisborne Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of one fiftieth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Gisborne Harbour District, as defined by the Gisborne Harbour Board Empowering Act 1952; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of six years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by the Gisborne Harbour Board at a meeting held at the Board's office, Reads Quay, Gisborne, on the 28th day of November 1960.

TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Works Loan 1960, £250,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£250,000), authorised to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of undertaking major street reconstruction and development works, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three decimal three nine nine pence (3·399d.) in the pound (£) on the reateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taupo Borough Council at a meeting held on the 28th day of November 1960.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners' Cottages Loan No. 2 1960, £25,550

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand five hundred and fifty pounds (£25,550) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing further finance to construct

pensioners' cottages which were the subject of an earlier loan, the Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six hundred and twenty-one - sixty-two thousand five hundredths of a penny(621/62500d.) in the pound (£·0000414) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The Christchurch City Council at a meeting held on the 21st day of September 1960 passed the above resolution.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a street; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the proposed taking of the said land who have any well grounded objections to the proposed taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, at the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, Bank Street, Whangarei.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 24·4 perches, being part of Lots 1 and 4, D.P. 33126, being part of Allotment 1, Whangarei Parish, and being part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 517, folio 105. The land is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 42497, and thereon coloured yellow; and all that parcel of land containing 22·8 perches, being part of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, D.P. 33126, being part of Allotment 1, Whangarei Parish, and being part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 517, folio 104. The land is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 42497, and thereon coloured sepia.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Napier City Council proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, to widen portion of Dalton Street; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for street; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk of the said Council, situate in Tennyson Street, Napier, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, must set out their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at his office aforesaid.
