NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, that a meeting of The Easter Construction
Co. Ltd. will be held on Friday, the 9th day of December
1960, at which an extraordinary resolution, “That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue in business
and that it is advisable to wind up, and that accordingly the
company be wound up voluntarily”, is to be proposed, and
that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held,
pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, at the
Pioneer Sports Club, South Lounge, 188 Oxford Terrace, on
Friday, the 9th day of December 1960, at 11 a.m., at which
meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with a list of creditors and the estimated
amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and
at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285
of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator
of the company and, in pursuance of section 286, may appoint
a committee of inspection.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter
of Johnson Garnett Ltd., a duly incorporated company
having its registered office in Christchurch and carrying
on business as manufacturers agents and indentors.
NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court
of New Zealand made on the 2nd day of November 1960 confirming the reduction of capital of the above-named company
from £30,000 to £15,000, and the minute approved by the
Court showing, with respect to the capital of the company as
altered, the several particulars required by the above-mentioned
Act, was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the
15th day of November 1960.
The said minute is in the words and figures following:
“That the capital of the company be reduced from £30,000
divided into 30,000 shares of £1 each, to £15,000 shares of £1
each, and that such reduction be effected by paying to each
shareholder the sum of 10s. for each share held by him
before this reduction of capital, being capital which is in
excess of the wants of the company”.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of four thousand five hundred pounds
(£4,500) authorised to be raised by the Franklin County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
completing the purpose for which the Franklin County Council
Roads Loan 1956, £45,000, was raised, the Franklin County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal
nought one three pence (0·013d.) in the pound upon the
rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the County of Franklin; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of June in each and every year until such loan is fully paid
off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Franklin County Council held on the 28th day of November
1960.
