Appointments in the Royal New Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to the Navy Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, promotions, and termination of appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy:

Commander (Sp) P. J. Stoner, D.S.C., granted a two-year extension of employment on the Supplementary List and reappointed, to date 22 October 1960.

Wardmaster Lieutenant-Commander S. A. Higgs, M.B.E., released (age), to date 16 October 1960, and placed on the Retired List, to date 17 October 1960.

Lieutenant R. E. Lawry, promoted to rank of Lieutenant-Commander and reappointed, to date 16 August 1960.

Shipwright Lieutenant R. S. Hurden, A.M.I.N.A., promoted to rank of Shipwright Lieutenant-Commander and reappointed, to date 1 October 1960.

Engineer Lieutenant R. N. Lyon, released (short-service commission completed), to date 23 November 1960.

Lieutenant (Sp) C. W. Holland-Goodwin, promoted to rank of Lieutenant-Commander (Sp) and reappointed, to date 13 August 1960.

Sub-Lieutenant D. R. Abernethy, promoted to rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 1 May 1960 and reappointed, to date 1 May 1960.

Sub-Lieutenant J. T. Ford, promoted to rank of Lieutenant and reappointed, to date 1 September 1960.
