Stopping Government Road in Block VIII, Mangamuka Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, that road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of road situated in Block VIII, Mangamuka Survey District, Auckland R.D., described as follows:

ALL that piece of Government road containing 0·5 perches situated in Block I, Maramarua Survey District, Auckland R.D., and adjoining parts Allotments 8 and 9, Section 3, Town of Mercer; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 1568 (S.O. 42465) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Declaring Land Used as a Roadway in Blocks V and VIII, Ahipara Survey District, Mangonui County, to be Road

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 422 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto and used as a roadway to be road.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 32 acres and 15 perches situated in Blocks V and VIII, Ahipara Survey District, Auckland R.D., and being part Ahipara Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 1665 (M.L. 14091) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 6th day of December 1960.

Declaring a Certain Area to be a Wildlife Refuge

COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant made under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921–22, and published in Gazette, No 11, 21 February 1929, page 445, in so far as that Warrant relates to the area described in the First Schedule hereto; and hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Second Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Wildlife Act 1953.

FIRST SCHEDULE

CERTAIN lands at Tuakau (Waikato); all that block of land in the Auckland Land District lying to the left of enclosure by the Pukekura Main Road from the Waikato River via Boxe’s Cutting to Bagnelely’s Corner; thence by the Mile Bush Road and Murray’s Road to junction with Main Road at river.

And also all that area in the Auckland Land District situated in Blocks VIII, Onewhera, and I and V, Maramarua Survey Districts. Bounded, commencing on the left bank of the Waikato River at the north-eastern corner of Allotment 54, Onewhero Parish; towards the south-east generally by the eastern boundary of Allotment 54 aforesaid and the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 52, Onewhero Parish aforesaid, to Underwood’s Road, and by that road to Murray’s Road; towards the south-west generally by Murray’s Road aforesaid to the Waikato River; and towards the north-west generally by the Waikato River aforesaid to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Raglan County, containing 1,315 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Allotment 145, Onewhero Parish, in Block VIII, Onewhero Survey District, and proceeding southerly and easterly generally along the western and southern sides of Murray’s Road, to and southerly along the western side of Mile Bush Road, to and along the northern side of the Pukekohe - Te Uku via Tuakau Road to the southernmost corner of part Lot 3, D.P. 8328; thence northerly along the western side of the said part Lot 3 crossing the last-mentioned road to the northernmost corner of that lot and along the western boundary of Allotment 221 to its westernmost corner; thence south-westerly along a right line to the intersection of the southern boundary of Allotment 163 with the western side of the aforesaid road; thence along the western and eastern sides of that road, to and easterly along the left bank of the Waikato River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Allotment 145 aforesaid, all the aforesaid allotments being in the Onewhero Parish; thence along a right line to the point of commencement.

As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked I.A. 52/144 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

The Bay of Islands College Board of Governors Order 1960, Amendment No. 1

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of November 1960

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Bay of Islands College Board of Governors Order 1960, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Bay of Islands College Board of Governors Order 1960* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of February 1961.

  1. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the principal order, until the election of members by the parents of the pupils attending the school is held, the Bay of Islands College shall be controlled by the other members of the Board of Governors of that school.
