A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the por-
tions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL those pieces of road situated in Block IV, Cheviot Sur-
vey District, Canterbury R.D., adjoining or passing through:

described in the Schedule hereto.

hereto in so far as it affects the land mentioned in Part II of
the said Schedule.

PURSUANT to section 254 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order
in Council made on 11 April 1932 and published in Gazette,
14 April 1932, Volume I, page 761, prohibiting all alienations
of the Maori land known as Kaimanawa 1E 2B and other
blocks, other than alienations in favour of the Crown, by
excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Authorising Tasman Pulp and Paper Co. Ltd. to Erect and
Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Whakatane

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 2nd day of

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby grants to Tasman Pulp and
Paper Co. Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its
registered office at Auckland (hereinafter referred to as the
licensee), a licence, subject to the conditions hereinafter set
forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines
hereinafter described.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
    the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical
    Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall
    form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may
    be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
    LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
  2. This licence is issued under the Electrical Supply Regula-
    tions 1935, and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Wiring
    Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958,
    and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof
    or in substitution therefor respectively.
    SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
  3. The system of supply shall be as classified under paragraph
    (f) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations
  4. DURATION OF LICENCE

  5. Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall
    continue in force until the 31st day of March 1980.
    SCHEDULE
    LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of
    supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee's
    switch room and proceeding in a north-westerly direction
    to Fletcher Avenue; thence in a north-easterly direction
    along Fletcher Avenue to its terminus; and thence generally
    in a north-easterly direction to the licensee's substation situ-
    ated in the geothermal wellhead area, all being situated in
    D.P. 2476, Town of Kawerau, Blocks IX and XIII, Rangi-
    taiki Upper Survey District, in the County of Whakatane;
    the said lines being more particularly shown by means of red
    lines and broken red lines on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 536,
    deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity
    Department at Wellington.
